I got this vid last night. Good job passing him but next time give him a 3 honk.. That reminds me of a local guy who fucked up his brand new C5 Z06 CE with a 180 shot of nitrous.. Lol it won't even engage right hahaha.

[QUOTE=pitwork] Good job passing him but next time give him a 3 honk.QUOTE]

If you listen to the Z while he is passing him, the Z owner is not even in it. That is the sound of cruising in 5th gear.

    Ct9agsr/Mogallo

Here is a timeslip of a Z as you asked me about that night we met. I couldnt find the video I saved of the 11.55 run. That 11.55 run was made in a Z06 on DR and an intake. This run is 100% bone stock and even signed off by the track officials.

It says 02 Z06 right on the timeslip. The C6 didnt come out until 2005. The new Z06 will be in the low 11's with someone like this driving it down the track.

that is impressive for a stock 02 zo6. Is that 1.78 60 foot on stock F1 radials? They must have really prepped the track for his run. Also a density altitude of 170 feet is pretty nice air. I've seen a lot of fast stock runs at MIR and some of the other maryland tracks. There was a guy in a bone stock 98 cobra that run a 13.0@105 there a few years back.

Now if only silvia could get his in the 12s. I know i saw a certain black vette run at import showdown but saw it running below its potential. What was your best time if you don't mind saying?

That is correct, that above timeslip is on stock F1's which is simply amazing as on the street I would spin 1, 2, and chirp 3 on my stock tires.

I was not at import showdown so that would not have been my vette. I have not run this car down the track as of yet.

The Z06 is a very hard car to launch. The guy above launches at around 2k or something like that, and for him to pull a 1.78 is just insane.

I would never see 60' times like that unless I had some BFG DR 's and grew some balls to rev her up and let it rip.....

i have found the z06 very easy to launch compared to alot of cars.

    I ran a

    12.04 @ 116 in a completely stock 2002 z06. But at a higher altitude.
    1.75 60 foot.

My car just didnt make the mph, that ranger car does/did.

I know Ranger, he is a great driver.

Marshall, we need to get our cars together. I would be curious to see how we run being that I only have 1 mod; exhaust.

That's impressive, and it might be but I just get really happy when the light goes green and can never ease and slip the clutch as I would need to. I just prefer to stay off the drag strip and leave the launching to others that can make the Z shine!

I believe the car makes 406rwhp...I raced him from a roll and it is definately strong. You have to understand too he is heavier than a 350Z w/ his stereo and 19" wheels. The 13.5 was on street tires, and I saw a 13.0 on slicks.........My opinion he is not heating the tires long enough even with the slicks.

A 911 vs Z06 showdown would be a very good race. I wouldn't mind being around to see that one happen.

I don't think he had slicks unless he swapped them on later. I saw a set of 16 inch mickey thompson drag radials on it and he ran 12.9 on them.

at least I brought mine out! That 13.5 @ 110mph must have been when I put the street tires on.. I had 16 inch M/T Street Radials which are basically street legal slicks, but I definitely was not heating them up like I should have been.. I was still getting 2.2 60 ft times. Its simply a case of fast car/bad driver. Best run for that day was 12.9 @ 111mph for me.

And I'd lovveeeee to see how much of a breeze 0-120 would be.

Edit: I feel he need to say that this is all in fun..Marshall by far is one of the coolest guys I've ever met and I give his Z06 much respect..especially over 120mph.

Tony tony tony, man you are cool guy but I am afraid I am going to have to hurt your feelings.....nah I am just playing!

The 13.5 was on street tires like you mentioned above. And for bringing yours out just tell me this: where were you from our 70mph punch on the street.....hmmm.....I seem to recall you were behind me somewhere! Case proven on that round I dont need to come to the track! Although if you do want another try from a roll or maybe test your luck from a dig I will give you that.

***Please remember me and Tony joke around, this is no real call out. His car is extremely fast and mine is so so! From watching him at the track it is not a real slouch down low, but really impressive actually!
