    Default They Found The Accord!!

The fuckin thing was downtown by the area he took it, So all this time they have been looking for a car that was right under thier nose, and that has given the guy 14 hours to run and get out of state in a car they werent looking for, Gotta love the brains of this operation.

I figured thats what he did, But he dumped it almost on the same street he took it. Amazes me because they so thought he stayed with this car when he car jacked a few cars within minutes before that one. We was doing it tot hrow people off.

It was found in the Phillips Arena parking deck, 3 blocks from where it was taken.... So they basically by only looking for one car gave this guy 14 hours to leave the state and go on his way.... FUCKIN DUMB ASS'S

it amazes me how stupid cops are! i swear that cops are out getting the wrong people. instead of giving a person a ticket for running a stop sign or not wearing a seatbelt, go out and search for the criminals! i had respect for them but after an incident with the cops, i could care less now
    anyway

like my dad said earlier he probably drove around atlanta jacking other cars and then went to a friends house for a hideout and when things cool down he will leave the state or he is already in mexico

Do you really think he dumped it and planned on coming back for it when its been over 14 hours? Ya dont think if he didnt have a problem car jacking atleast 3 cars within 15 minutes he killed the people he wont just steal another one? C'Mon now.......

true but say the car he just happened to take belonged to an elderly person or someone who doesn't use their car much...it may be a day or so before they ever go to the parking deck to drive their car and notice it's gone....i mean say it's an elderly person....meds are brought to them...people come to their house to visit them, they don't like to drive, they have food brought to them or cook...why would they go all the way to their parking deck for their car? so he could have a whole new car and you won't know till tomorrow....

how about if he did all the jacking to get to a car he had parked somewhere? Has anyone ever thought of that?? Maybe he had a car parked downtown somewhere and the way to get to it without running on foot and getting caught, was to jack some people to get there faster. He's out of town by now.

Same thing happened to my neices uncle. He was on the news ALLLL week long. They camping out at their crib, tapping phones, searching in GA, etc. and he had been up in Ohio, where they are from all along. He had got there the same day.

I will have to agree that these cops are a bunch of idiots. The car was less than a mile away from the scene, Sad. Map of the courthouse and the dumped accord.

Running a stop sign and no seatbelts are against the law, too.

well, I really dont think the cops or the "system" is at fault....how often does this happen? who wouldve thought that a "rapist" would've come up with such a scheme? and the guy is obviously calm and knew exactly what he was doing....the video of him walking down the stairs of the parking garage....he was calm....taking his time, knowing he just shot 4 people.

but then there's the theory that he just snapped then and there, just kinda acted on his agression....

whichever it may be, I hope that they dont shoot him when they finally catch up to him because he's got nothing to lose at this point, because I want him to be tried and then have his ass raped in jail.

oh well.....let's just hope they get him.

sucks that he got a 15hr head start though.

Now a customs agent has been found shot to death and they are trying to see if he may have been shot by the same guy and his car taken.

You guys sadden me. Do you honestly think that he cops are stupid? The guy is fully-dressed and able to blend in with the population of Atlanta. He is rather smart and very calm. It's very hard for the police to anticipate what he is going to do. He is much too calm to attract attention to himself. There is no script for this guy.

It's hard. They have the FBI and GBI involved.

I agree, They arent stupid, But this guy was ready for this, and in plain street clothes he blended very quick. This is why I dont think these people should stand trial in street clothes

Exactly. Reading each post that stated that the cops have fucked up or they stupid made me think, who is the stupid one for real? This isn't a movie with scripts in it. Bruce Willis wouldn't know to turn right 6 miles down the road to catch up with the bad guy if he was a real cop. Later, QD.

I think the system is at fault. but not for the reasons you may be referring to. I think that he should have been watched by two male guards. I am not trying to sound sexist, but there may have been a different outcome had he been detained by male deputies instead of a lone female deputy. Just because he was a rapist and not a murderer, they should not have treated him as any less than a threat to thier safety. I hope that they reform the system and the protocol for handling detainees to insure that something like this cannot happen again.

Guys, i think EVERYONE underestimated this guy. lets analyze this, and keep in mind i only have heard bits and pieces of the story.

    1) He is either INCREDIBLY smart to get a GUN into a court house through the medal detectors, or incredibly brave to jump a deputee inside to get their gun. Either way he got the firearm, he was Brave enough (and stupid) to shoot an kill 2 people INSIDE a COURTHOUSE.
    2) He then was good enough to get out of the courthouse and get a vehicle to get away in. he showed no hesitation in what he did. this seems like a "planned out " action rather than a fit of rage or a case of desperity

Now considering those 2 points, i would come to the conclusion that the getaway accord was merely a means of getting away form the scene of the crime, not a means or running or driving long distances. that car was dumped within minutes of him jacking it. he isnt stupid enough to keep driving it for hours on end.

Now in the "heat of the moment" it seemed like this guy wasnt that smart, it seemed like he shot two people an ran an he would be caught within minutes. That was not the case. But also remember, they were tracking that car cause that was probably the ONLY LEAD at that time they had. until they recovered the car, it was prudent to keep a APB out on the license plate. I WILL GUARANTEE that they have been following other leads since that time, and that there are other scenarios they are checking up on. i GUARANTEE they have already talked to his family, neighbors, friends, co workers etc and im sure they have surveilance set up as well. I am willing to bet they have several other GREAT leads they are looking into. im sure by now the FBI and other federal investigators are on it, not just your local APD.

he will be caught, and its just a matter of time, everyone makes a mistake or overlooks something. im sure he did, and it will catch up to him. have faith in your law enforcement, the "parking nazis and speeding police" are not the ones on this case.

More like dumped within seconds. The car was found in the same parking garage that it was jacked from. Later, QD.

k, I agree that perhaps he shouldve been escorted by two male guards....but let's just say, that he was....he's still a big guy, and he couldve easily just sucker punched one of the guards and taken his gun and shot the other guard who would be standing there in shock of what just happened.

there's too many "what if's" that the media is speculating.....

I still stand by my point that I dont think the "system" was at fault...because....this same judge, this same Deputy have had 1000's of cases with rapists, murders, and pyscho's, all without incident. So, the "system" was simply going by it's protocol and this just happened to be a unfortunate event and the simple fact is, we the people are just looking at someone to point the finger at and blame.

I got you dude, I just feel that procedures need to be updated as they have probably never anticipated anything like this to ever happen. My referrence to the system being at fault was directed more towards the lack of a plan for an event such as this. They did the absolute best that they could in the situation and I do not fault the officers one bit for thier actions. I just hope that they will review this and create a better procedure for handling detainees at the courthouse.

I just hope that they will review this and create a better procedure for handling detainees at the courthouse.

oh I can assure you, that from here on out....anyone short of traffic violations will probably be held in higher regards....it just sucks that it took 4 peoples lives to learn this lesson.
