QT interview

So i went to QT corporate offices today for an interview. and it went really fucking well. The guy said that he will have someone call me either tomorrow or the day after, and i can expect to go to orrientation on monday (meaning i got hired). Needless to say im pretty fucking excited. 6.00/hr to 8.25/hr plus any of the many bonuses they offer plus i get paid weekly.

they had open interviews today between 4-7. all you had to do was fill out the application and shit and you got an interview. there were like 30+ people there.

Well it dosent completely mean you are hired.. but still congratulations... and its 8.25 and hour... were you planinng on working at?

yeah, it's not 100% yet, but it is looking really good. it's 8.25 an hour (9.03 if i get promoted to full time) 50 cent raises every 6 months, monthly bonuses, benefits, and a 500 dollar bonus on your 12 month mark as full time and 500 every 6 months after that.

if hired, i will either work at 78 and grayson parkway/124/78 near stone mountain, or 5 forks.

damn. they never fucking review my application. Me and my friend turn it in at the exact same time. He basicly copied most of the stuff from my application, and he got the call like 2 days after, and they never call me

. I'm just guessing its bc his name sounds more white. Hoa Vs Mike, who would u pick >.>

You have to be put on a waiting list to get Full-Time I hope you know that. Also I hope your working nightshifts cause during the day there always shit to do. Never a moment to chill.

yeah, im hoping to get night shifts. and yeah, the guy told me they don't hire full time, you have to be promoted to it. fuck, it's still better that getting paid 6.00/hr.

I got an interview tomorrow at noon. I should be sleeping but I couldn't help it. And i saw QT interview. Had to read on this. They called me like at 930 this morning to set an interview with me. They must be hiring a lot of people or something cause I just applied like 3-4 days ago. Hope my interview goes well though...

Thats a lie,when I worked there I got started right at asst manager and I was only 21 with no exp. I would love to go back to qt,awesome job. Its also very busy, you dont take lunch breaks 30min to a hour or anything.

ya i have a co worker that her husband is pretty high up in Qt. it seems if you stik with it then you be doing really well.

i kind of wish icheck that out. working retail gets old but i get paid pretty good i dont know anywhere else that pays just as good from the start. maybe after i get my associates degree, there will be more oppertunities.

i think when the guy said that, he meant they currently wern't hiring full time.

true. and then you go to 34 hours of job training. my last day of training is today:boobies: for part time. i went through the same shit you are, and it seems worthwhile, especially if you stick with it.

it is like everyone says it is, no breaks, and you WILL work and stay busy. however i do not look down on this, what is the definition of work/job? what do you expect to do while you are at work?

so i went to the orientation today. seems like a pretty cool place to work. does anyone that works at QT know about how long it takes to get promoted to full time? and do you get a paycheck the first week you start? like, if i start training this week, would i get my check this thursday, or a double next week.

i got my check last night for orientation alone, 50 bux

they even delivered it to a store close to my house instead of downtown. training is 34 hours, and is just like working part time but you follow your trainer/they follow you all day and show you what to do, then tell you to do it and they follow up and show you how the store runs. but i learned that you can fill out a promotion request form on my last day of training, to be promotoed to full time. or they can offer it to you. my IT said her trainee was offered full time 1 week after she started part time, especially if you do well, so it really just depends what they need and how you do.

what i hate the most is stocking the coolers cause its so damn cold, even with jackets and hats and gloves(the -12 degree cooler). everything else is fairly easy. just dont dick around. they notice if you have a good attitude and hustle lol. the customers are pretty nice to trainees

i only had one bitchy lady and she was old.

my trainer was very nice and informative and thorough, she is 22 and her name is crystal. i cant speak highly enough of her. for being a girl, and only 22, she is extremely smart and gave me a hard/fair time just keeping up with her, and she isnt scared of work one bit. QT knows what the hell theyre doing with their hiring process, and they will make sure you know what you are doing too. she trains other people how to do their jobs. i think its amazing. hopefully you get her too. btw i got assigned to store # 769, peachtree industrial/mcginnis ferry rd.

but IMO you will literally feel like a janitor. but they dont pay you that shitty...the way it was explained to me, is that there is a wait for full time positions. and part time clerks dont work the overnights, unless it is a very busy store. but just because your position title is part time clerk does not mean you cannot work 40 hours. some of the PTC at the store i trained were working 38-40 hours weeks. the manager had a 61 hour week

so do you check your check for orientation that thursday, or the thursday after?

what i really want is to be promoted to the relief assistant manager, and work nights. it comes out to be 46 hours a week, and you get something like 10$ an hour.

im not sure...on my last day of training i picked up my check, IT told me they are ready on fridays, or direct deposit thursday night. i think my orientation was a friday, then the next week i got the phone call w/training location, and following week was training, and sunday was my last day, which i also picked up my first check. probably takes almost 1.5-2 weeks for the first one to get in the system i guess, and i had no idea my check was ready. my IT just told me it was and where i could pick it up.

i would try the thursday after. but you should ask. when do you start training again? advice-just dont be nervous.

at the orientation adam said Lawrence was going to be my IT, but this morning at 10, Crystal called me and said that she was going to be my IT. I guess thats good, after the good things you said about her. I start my training tomorrow at the QT on 78 and Stone Dr. near stone mountain, from 7am to 2pm.
