So Vanguard Beta 5 was opened a few days ago... and the game itself willl go live by the end of the month. No matter how much I've told myself I'm too old and too busy to hardcore another MMORPG, I've somehow got sunk into Vanguard the moment Beta 5 was released and downloaded (16gigs).

The game mixes things from other MMORPG's and incorporates it into Vanguard. People who've played WoW or EQ1/EQ2 will be familiar with most of the game already. Grinding sucks but not nearly as bad as most Korean-style MMORPG's. PvP is actually entertaining as fights can be finished in just a few seconds making it easy to gank ppl. If anyone plans on playing once the game goes live, look for me on the FFA (free for all) PvP server.

Juggling school, work, and hardcore'n Vanguard won't be easy and won't give me much time to idle in parking lots every weekend night... so even more reason not to come out to car stuff much. By the way, when referring to the term "hardcore", a mild MMO hardcore schedule dedicates at least 60hrs a week to straight grinding... my EQ2 days consisted of literally average of 95hrs a week and my Lineage2 days (unemployed, summer) consisted of 125hrs a week.
