Not that the truck isn't bad ass the way it sits, but if it had proper fitting tires on it and a paint job, it would look superb with that camper shell on it. You don't see a lot of people rolling in a nice old school pick 'em up truck with an old school shell on the bed.

Old mini trucks FTW. Looks great and would def have a lot of fun driving it. Love the wheels, just not how they poke out past the body line.

For some reason I loved the ragged out multi-colored look on older trucks like this. I say do a nice swap (SR20?) and call it a day.

Well about that tire size... lol when i ordered the tires, I accidentally ordered a 205/50/15 instead of a 225/50. The two rear tires I already had and put on just to get me rolling. At some point, I'm gonna replace the two rear tires with 225/50/15's and leave the fronts, because they have a very nice responsive feel.

The trucks going to be painted soon, and then the camper shell will be back on it. The camper shell is outstanding and I LOVE it. It was also free.

No worries man, I'm gonna flare the shit out of it! It was a spontaneous find on craigslist. I only paid $100 for them so I had to have them.

I'd love to do an SR in the truck, but I don't think it would ever happen. I love the carb'd L20B goodness I have now. If anything, I'll cam it, toss on some twin Mikuni's and call it a day.

    I try lol.

I know nothing of a Celica, so if he did, he didn't tell me about it! I know right now he's re-doing the fuel system on the drift truck, since it's failing.

Whoa that is one ugly vehicle. The condition, the paint, the wheels, the tire fitment, the camper, definitely not my style. It blows my mind how someone could think that looks good.

i agree 100% there's just something about those tires/wheel fitting that just dont look right on that truck, but thats not to say i wouldnt rock it as is, but i'd figure out something diff w/ those things in mind. nice old mini tho

OK just figured it out..i know the 84-88 toyota pickups (i know this is a datsun) have 4wd fenders and bed...if that sort of option is available for this truck, it'd be money as is

    Brutal lol.

I build it to my enjoyment/taste, so I would never expect everyone to like it.
It's all about taste. I love old, broken shit. Rat rods are my style.

Just like I would never get caught dead in a G35. They look bland, generic, and boring to me. But the next guy may think differently about it..

I don't drive what everyone else drives. I mean, Why fit in when you were born to stand out?

Well, the wheels grew on me quick. I LOVE dish and these were cheap. They'll fit right in once I get better fitting tires on the rear and flare it.

The paint job is funky, I just got busy fixing other things and never finished up with it yet. It will be yellow again soon though.

i'm ok w/ the 'paint' as it sits...i'm just thinking about the fenders and bed...i think w/ some flare to it, the wheel setup as is would look fantastic

yea because right now it just looks like (please excuse the lack of better terminology) mexiflush...w/ flares >>>>>> like the wheel and tire combo is perfect for that truck, flare is necessary

The paint on the whole truck bothers me, I just don't have time to finish it as is. Especially with the weather the way it is It will get done in time.

All about taste Too many G35's IMO. I can't stand driving something that everyone else has. I need to be in something different. Different is good. It's how I found Datsun years ago.

    OWWWWWWWW IT BURNS!

Mexiflush It's not THAT bad. Okay, it's pretty pokey... no worries, flares were always in the plan. I just wanted to drive it long enough to get a feel for the rims and decide if they were what I wanted before cutting the truck. Still feeling like 18'' titans would look good...

This is about the look I'm going for with the fender pull Idea.. Either that or ZG flares like what's on Chads truck above.

I know how you feel. I got my G in early 2007 when there weren't that many hooked up ones but now they are everywhere. That's why I have been thinking about selling it but it's hard to give up a car you have put so much time into.
