    where is the trans control module located?

    well at least the motor is still good

    I'm pretty sure it is located next to the ecu. *Should* be on the passenger side of the engine with 4 torx screws holding the cover on. I have a good transmission that will bolt right up to your car if you're having transmission problems!

    it is just the module not the whole trans

    well at least the motor is still good

    i pick the car up at marietta toyota where the guy had the the heater core replaced ($1000). he said when he bought he drived it home shifted fine and everything. then that night the heater core busted. he went to drive it to the shop and it popped up trans program+ on the cluster. you put it in gear and it just revs like its not(torque converter not engaging). so he had it towed to toyota had the heater core redone then they couldnt figure out the trans issue.

    well at least the motor is still good

    im going to check the trans fluid tomorrow to make sure thats all good.

    well i removed the center console the gear selector switch on the shifter is pretty fried. and then theres a cable going from a gray bar up into the dash. what is this? because the lever is broken
