$3250 for 2 people, so thats $1625 a person for 5 nights. So really thats $325 a night.Originally Posted by Magius
$325 for a stay in a nice hotel, invites to big parties all night, and for auto cross and salt-flat runs....to me this is really worth it. I will let everyone know whats going on. I may pay the $400 entry fee right now just to ensure I can get a spot.
comeon its only $1600 a person
alex (ARFNSX) on here has taken part in the rally.
it seems like a lot of fun to be had, but it's still too baller for me.
a guy i grad from school with was on that mtv show about the aka.... the 2 guys in the audi... both basketball players for north. dam jocks
My best friend and I are planning on doing the Gumball in about 10 years... we just gotta build a car crazy enough for Max tolet us in.

I might be game for co-pilot/ split cost for anyone interested with a car worth running...........
Its just a bodykit
looking at it, it's no different than going to brazil. compared to the 50k+/- for the gumball it's not bad at all. not that I have the money to do it right now anyway.Originally Posted by dtmcnamara
man david the more i look at it the more i would like to get a second job and just make nuff for this shit and quit. ill c what car i get in a few weeks and ill let you know if im game or not ( i think its going to be more fun than miami) and also i think your girl might like to join us as well ( you know her) ttut man.
wow this is definately worth it. i mean it cost aboiut the same as a 7 day cruise and its doing something u love. also it includes track times and parties man i might have to start saving for next year
Don't put all your eggs in one basket just yet gentlemen. There's another rally in the works that'll be closer to our neck of the woods and for half the price of the AKA Rally.
i know some folks doing the AKA this year.
hmmm got any more info?Originally Posted by Rhoad Racing

aaah i see that..... cool then.... i'll keep an eye for the next step
I have done the AKA and the Gumball.
I like the AKA because it is smaller and not so baller but still tons of funs. They still have GT3s, 800hp Vipers as well as civics and scion tCs. You will TONZ OF FUN, I promise. I will go again this year for sure so if you are thinking about it, I would do it. Not only is it tonz of fun but you will meet lots of new friends from all over the country.
I was in the first one in 2004 on MTV and since it was new, no one knew what to expect. Let me find some photos.
I would live to do this. I have alot of work to do on the car....
Rich...Bob...Stan...?????
Just do it. No regrets, no excuses. It is the best $5000 I spend ever year!
How was the Gumball? I plan on doing it in a couple years with a friend of mine?Originally Posted by ARFNSX
Don't need to hear about cost and how hard it is to get in, we have that more than covered. Just want to hear about the experience.

All of the rallies are basically the same thing. They are not races but more driving fast across the country trying not to get caught by the cops. I think the DVD Gumball Mischeif helped alot show people the real side of it. Dado and Dustin have made a few $$$ off of their dvd but what people dont know, many authorities have tried to file charges after the fact from that video.
Anyway the main difference between the Gumball and the AKA and others are the caliper of people. During the Gumball you are dealing with some true ballers who seem to have a million dollars in their back pocket. While I am on a budget saying I can only spend $2000 of extra money, they will pay that at dinner or a strip club. Dont get me wrong, you will still have fun but some of these ballers will make you feel like shit and I was driving a pretty nice car. They considered it a cute Japanese car. Anyway I befriended many of them and I am still friends with them today but over all the Gumball Rally/Players Run/The Great American Race (All the same owners) will become very clicky and you will separate into group as soon as it starts.
The AKA Rally is smaller and most people know every other drivers name. It is a lot like Import Atlanta where is stays realistic and no one is driving a million dollar machine. If you have the money and the resources, then do the Gumball but if you will be straining financially to participate, then do the AKA. Gumball total event cost including gas, transporation, and food etc = 22k with co-driver. AKA Rally total is about 10k.
I hope this helps.
