    Default spindle question

so as many of you know, i tried to fly my del sol this weekend.

anywho - i need a new spindle because the wheel bearing and ball joints are bad, so i'm just going to replace the whole thing. when i replaced my brakes a couple months back, my bf noticed that my brake setup was not the same as his on his 94 civic ex. is there another car that has the same setup as a 93 del sol si that i could get a spindle off of?

I have an Si, I don't think it will work. I don't want to swap out brakes. Like I said, my calipers/rotors wont work on the EJ1. They're completely different.

But I do need the drivers' side.

Del Sol Si or Civic Si... They're the only cars that used that particular set-up from what I can tell

Did you try car-parts.com? This is a nationwide search from junkyards. You can do a regional search also. Use it all the time to gauge parts availability...

You could swap out the entire assembly for both sides with parts from another model... but I would try to find the right one first

wheel bearing plus ball joint will probably be like 50-60 bucks worth of parts.....probably best option unless you bent it out of shape

if you need the whole spindle off a DEL SOL SI or a CIVIC SI good luck as those are the hardest cars to find in junk yards. They are extremely rare in junkyards, and on top of that, most junkyards classify all civics and del sols the same.

IMO Call Honda Parts Connection and see if they have it, if not, you are better off buying "regular" brakes off a Civic or Integra and swapping BOTH sides.

It really wasn't hard at all despite it being my first time doing it. I hammer it out in seconds and put WD-40 to lubricate it and hammered it back.. Putting it back took a little longer..

It's not hard unless you are a complete fool and don't know what you're doing. No special tools needed too...

Just go find the front spindles from an ls or gsr and swap both sides....so easy a caveman could do it.

Tell your BF to get his game up.

Did the EX have abs? It has the teg front spindle. Any 92-95 Civic with 9 inch rotors will work.
