when it first start, there's no cel. Know sensor is good. I have a vtec controller also and it say's vtec input and output on but i don't here vtec. When i drive it to 7000 and above once, the cel pops up and it read vtec oil pressure switch. I change to a working one and check the wiring and still no vtec, and also the vtec input goes away but vtec output say's on but redline at 6500 which i have no vtec.

do you have enough oil in it? heh don't mean to be ... whatever you call it.... but some people over look that. If your oil pressure is not high enough it won't kick in.

There is a Plug in the front of the Head... Get a Oil pressure gauge and connect it there... Should be over 50 Psi At the Point Vtec would ingauge
Try that and Post what Oil Pressure you have...

try wiring back the VTM wire on the VTEC controller back to stock. so leave all the wires from the vtec controller how you have it connected but disconnect the VTM wire from the VTEC controller and rewire the VTM wire back how honda had it.

4-5 years ago i had APEXI VTEC controller and for some reason if the VTM wire is hooked up the car would not hit vtec.

try it and let us know
