    Default Everyone Please Read

I want everyone to please stay safe on the streets, esspecially when there is any ice/snow on the ground. I lost a good friend of mine tonight in a car wreck. She was on a backroad which is actually one of the flatter/straighter roads in the area. We have had a good bit of ice lately so one can only assume that played a part in it. She had just turned 18 a few weeks ago, and still had her whole life ahead of her. Goes to show we are never promised tomorrow. She had her roommate and good friend in the truck with her, she was flown out and her condition is unknown by me at this point. It was a single car wreck, no one else was involved. She was thrown through the windshield and was laying in the middle of the road when paramedics arrived. I heard it go over the scanner and immediently got a bad feeling in my stomach, when they said a "young white female, extremely pale, bleeding out". Less than 20 minutes later I found out it was her.

Everyone please, try to stay safe out. Esspecially this time of year with the ice/snow.

Best of luck to her and hers.

You said she was thrown out the windshield. No seatbelt?

Yeah she was not wearing her seatbelt, sad, it could have possibly saved her life. I can't be on to criticize though, I rarely wear mine.

Sorry about that. Buckling up also plays a role in safety as well though.

Very true, as sad as it is to say thats what saved my life when I wrecked my Mach 1, and I still don't wear it as often as I should. This has honestly brought back alot of memories from that, and from now on I'm not going to be in a car without one on.

After all of the wrecks Ive been though when I was young, I have worn my seatbelt ever since I started driving. True in some extreme cases it could possibly kill you, but more than that it can save your life more than 99% of the time. Even in trucks or places its not really necessary i find myself putting it on time after time.
