This movie will fail. You just cant do all the things dbz does without it being animated.

All I can think of is Double Dragon. Lol, this movie is going to blow. I also just realized that's the kid from War of the Worlds.
This won't be a flop. I mean, look at all the box office records Speed Racer broke... and it only had the hacks who made the Matrix behind it.
well to me this is like FF even though you know its going to be Corny and probably ****ty its about something you really like. And hope in the off chance that they got it right this time around....im optimistic the director from 300 help helped direct this movie so it has a chance to be alright....... To be honest i could give 2 ****s less if its a ****ty movie i will still like it..only because i was such a fan of the show

my opinion
my opinion would be to stick it with the asian entertainment media and make the cast all asian or the majority all ASIAN by ASIAN directors & producers. Forget all the original costumes and hair styles. Just put them in decent character clothes but with the same powers from the series. The U.S always seem to remake asian movies anyways so minus well change the majority of it up so it won't look booty! At least make it look good like in the movie *Dragon Tiger Gate* featuring Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse. If they can make a Dragon Ball movie good from the start..then picture a movie when they've all maxed out their power levels and start tearing up the BOX OFFICES! Thats IF they can make part 1 successful!

My thoughts exactly. Animated superhero series do not translate well directly to live action big-screen. Costumes and hair styles will look 10 times gayer in live action than it will when animated.
PS, This is just a general statement, I could personally care less about Dragon Ball.

ppl have been wanting to see a real dbz movie for almost a decade. if they did a different saga, it might be a 100% better. dragon ball was boring compared to dbz.
and they're kinda suposed to be kids. but oh well, i'm going to see it. it's a cult movie, so it probally won't do 30+ million the first week.

With movies like Cashern out there i think there is a slim chance that this wont get too cheasy/ ****ed up. They are toying with my childhood crack, best not mess it up.
