Default Need help picking a color for my car!

Well for the longest time I was dead set on painting my car black, but recently I have been playing with the idea of red. I had a dark red mustang and really liked it, but it was a custom color that I wouldn't be able to get again. I am a big fan of white, silver, and dark greyish colors but they just don't look all that great on the mr2.

So I am asking you guys to help me find a good red for my car, preferably a good pic or sample so I can show the painter or a paint code if its oem. Im not looking for burgandy, but a little bit darker than laser red (Common ford color). For lack of a better example a candy apple red.

When I first got the car, for fun.

What the car looks like a bit more since it is in primer. Same kit really. And mine is a hard top also, but his has shaved mouldings.

    No^ to the orange

Bright colors look good on nice smooth sleek cars. Not mr2s with body mouldings and wings and a very busy body work.

go to your local autocolor store and look through the books of colors. You will spend a hour or so but you will find the color you are looking for.

I think most of the colors I have been looking at have been diamler chrystler colors.

At this point i'm having trouble finding a painter that will reply to my phone call, give me a price that is reasonable, or actually meet with me. Right now I am down to a dark red, wrx type blue, or black.

I kinda have been wanting to stay towards dark colors but ferrari was the beginning inspiration for colors. I think darker colors look good on busy body work. i.e. scoops, mouldings, wings, etc. All of which my car has.

No I am recently no ones boyfriend and have never know a female name brantly.

The car is sanded already and ready for paint. It is just a bitch to get a car painted when you don't live where the car is. So maybe I should turn this into where to find an affordable body shop. I need to keep it to 1100 keeping in mind that I have already done most of the prep.

Well I'm gonna let you guys in on what I did just so I can get bashed for it. I have ordered my paint. It is saphire blue. I got fed up with not being able to find a good painter that wouldn't bullshit me. So I am painting it myself. The paint is a polyurethane based single stage paint. Heres the kicker. It's marine paint. haha yea like the stuff they put on boats. You don't even have to spray the stuff on, it is self leveling. I did a lot of research and found the results to be really nice. Since it is so easy to apply and only single stage I will be sanding it to either 1500 or 2000 grit so It will be a very nice shine. Please start bashing.

I was gonna say take it to Vinh Body Shop (PM Li... VinhBodyS)... he did a complete color change on my car (blue to silver) and re-clearcoated my hood for $700.. turned around and took 2nd place at Nopi.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
