    i am lookin to build my d16y8 i wanna go al motor and be quick
    show me some set-ups that i could go with and what kind of power i would be makeing. thanks in advance.

    look the only way to really get power out of a d series is forced induction,take a look at this guys d series build and the numbers he put out on a n/a setuphttp://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2543199

    you can basically only spice up a D series, not really get big improvements. Like a pm3 usdm d15b7 piston, which ups your compression pretty well to 12.2:1 which your stock p2p would go nuts over. The only way to even see gains is to change to obd1, and then tune it. But its all in what you want. You can do it the cheap way and see a little bit of power increase. but probably still gonna be around stock b16 power.
    Fun, but not fast. But at the same time its better than what you got.

    the y8 oil pumps have problems, but you can port and shim it

    Yeah, the Y's have oiling problems due to the pumps. The Z6 is probably the wisest choice of D's for boosting. All motor D's cannot make the power like N/A DOHC's. Go with boost if your set on a SOHC.
