honestly most people stretch the truth. Like my B18C motor i got from a police officer complete setup. He said he rebuilt it but when i tore it down the main bearings were scratched, grease in the head studs, rings worn etc. If he rebuilt it i honestly have no idea what he did replace. I had a second master honda tech confirmed - BS was done, and the motor had a rough life if indeded something was rebuilt in the block. Maybe the guy did rebuild it but he wore the motor the hell out, never checked oil, reused rings who knows. I know i have over 1k+ in new OEM parts and it redlines no problem, lol.
Even buying craigslist items - i learn from it as well. Like don't buy from a reseller of stuff. It's typically better to buy from a owner outright that usues the item. Meaning he bought it, used it, and doesn't want it. Not someone who got from this guy, who got from this guy, and so on....
