I don't know Cortland from any other John Doe on here nor do I care to but on the advocate side of things family emergencies involving kids happens. I know this first hand because i am a father myself.
However, I would personally not deal with him as I have my own reasons. OP, something better may come along and you may be happy you didn't do the deal.
