BAD SELLER ... Southside

IIRC, you were selling 2 trannys in the original thread. an LS tranny and a b16 tranny. You said that you were told it was a b16 tranny and it grinded 3rd gear, but you never had it on ur car so you couldn't say what condition it was in. You didn't say anything about the posibility of it being an LS tranny.

And when i came to you and told you it was infact an LS tranny, you fought me tooth and nail and did not believe it was an LS tranny. You kept saying you got it from an Acura mechanic or something and that HE would know. Even after i told you I cracked open the case and counted the teeth, you still countered that by saying that you got it from an acura specialist and HE would know since he's een a million tranny's.

Like i said, the broken main input shaft bearing isn't the issue, it's the fact that the tranny is an LS and not a b16 as you claimed it is.

no, if you read the thread, he's clearly selling an LS tranny AND a b16 tranny. The b16 tranny was the one i purchased, and is marked as sold in the original thread post.

The thread is called "Cable A1 Ls and Jdm S1 B16 Tranny" . The LS tranny was stamped A1 and the 'b16 tranny' was stamped S1. The tranny I received from him was stamped S1.

S1 is b16 right? but that just means it could have a different case

I thought all integra trannys that were cable were stamped ys1

If sum1 sold you a b18c5 motor for $4k and you picked it up and then got home, took it apart and you saw it spun a rod bearing or something, would you still think it's your fault for not tearing apart the motor at the time of the transaction?

Think for 2 seconds before you open ur mouth homie.

If the mother fucker told me that the motor was in good shape, it would be his fault. And who the fuck takes a motor apart at the transaction spot. That is why there are Buyer/Seller feedbacks you know. Before paying 4k for the motor, you should ask all possible questions. And if the seller lies about it and later the motor doesn't runs, he better move out of state.

All cable b16 and LS transmissions share the same transmission code. So when you buy a used b16 transmission, you have to cross your fingers and hope that the seller is not trying to pass a LS transmission as a b16 transmission. The only exception to the rules are factory installed b16 LSD transmission. They have LSD stamped on the housing (plus you can tell a LSD transmission by just looking at the input shaft).

yup, like i said i'm not mad that the bearing is broke, i'm mad that the gearing isn't what he said it is. I dont even have a B series motor in my car, so there's no way I did anything to fuck up that bearing. Like i've said, i dont live at home, i like 3.5 hours away. the tranny was kept at home and the 1st chance i got to come home and inspect it, i did. it just sat and collected dust in my garage. southside knows this because at the time of the transaction i had to get my pops to pick up the tranny cause i was still away at school.

REGARDLESS, the broken bearing IS NOT THE ISSUE. It's the gearing.
