Since you refuse to respond to the numerous attempts I have made to try to get in contact with you, (and even went through the trouble of having your wireless provider BLOCK my number from contacting you) I have no other choice but to make this situation public. I gave you more than enough time to handle this in a civil manner. But apparently, since you have blocked my number, you have absolutely no intentions of making things right.

I first PM'ed MR.EK9 on 7/15 about the Takata Green TE37's he had for sale (thread). He informed me they were pending and he would let me know if the deal fell through. I text messaged him last night (7/20) to find out he still had them for sale and we agreed to meet up at a gas station at around 11:00pm (now I see why he wanted to meet at night).

Upon arrival, I looked the wheels over and noticed in fact that the wheels were noticably NOT takata green from volk, but had been repainted - he agreed to take $100 off the price because of this. I also told him that I wanted two shift knobs he has for sale (thread) and agreed that he would overnight them to my house for $60. I gave him $60 + $1250, loaded the wheels into my car & gave him my address.

When I got home, I unloaded the wheels from my car. I started noticing the paint was cracking and chipping on every wheel. This didn't bother me too greatly, I can have them repainted. Then I noticed rediculous camber wear on one tire - this also didn't bother me, I was going to replace them all anyway. But then on that same wheel I noticed this:

I called him immediately upon noticing the damage to the wheels to tell him that I would appreciate if he would just give me my money back and sell the wheels to someone else. No offense, and his FS ad was bullshit, but it seems like you should've brought a flash light and throroughly checked them out.

NEVER buy expensive wheels without inspecting them one by one, over and over... all over.

It'd be one thing if this was a warning thread and saying he wouldn't reimburse your wasted gas meeting him after not properly describing them... but you really just didn't look them over good.

Wow, that's some bullshit. I sympathize for your loss of money for some mis-described wheels but rule of thumb should always be that you NEVER buy anything at night that's been used. Hope things work out for you.

Mr. EK9 is a friend of mine. The wheels were pending to me at first and I was going to work out a payment plan with him but I decided against it because of the price.

I'm going to try to get in touch with him to get this matter fixed.

With this in mind was there a contract or bill of sale made. Anything describing the wheels being sold as is or that if you were not happy that he would give you your money back.

Thanks OP for the post and sorry for your loss but you really should have inspected the wheels thoroughly before dropping a $1,000+ on set of USED Volks.

damn that sucks. i brought a set of wheels 3months ago on IA. Daylight time. wheels and tires "look" A+.. and " THEN "!!! i put them on and rolled on them. 3 out 4 were BENT! can not be balanced.! drove like pot holes. MR.EM1 can quote that. i paid 600+. seller didnt answer calls either. GOOD LUCK!! on refund.
