damn...reps
I'm gonna be the negative one for a very brief second. This might "deter" a thief from driving your car away. Or taking your radio. But if they really wanted it, there's nothing you could do about it unless you're aware of it. My buddy's Civic hatch was stolen by a repo tow truck. They stripped everything from the car minus the dash and dumped the car in Clayton county. Trust me, if they wanted your car, they're gonna get it. With or without kill switch.
K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
well just think about it.... you can disconnect your battery so now the theif cant find the hood release to reconnect it.... so they cant hotwire it...

But even with that, that would reset all your radio stations, clock, etc. in your car.Originally Posted by gtsxtt
You can wire up a 9v battery to a lighter socket 12v accessory plug (from an old phone charger or whatever) and that will give you enough power to keep the memory in your stereo and clock but not enough for a theif to crank the car.Originally Posted by jville95
You can get the parts to make one including the 12v plug, the battery, and the the plug for the battery at Radio Shack for less than $10. Good thing to have if you take out your battery a lot.
the funny thing is I knew about this already without any help ....good stuff
It should be common sense to know how to protect the things you love....You don't need someone to tell you how to protect your family do you?
i think losing your radio stations are less important than losing your car

Dunno.. my stereo's buttons stick a lot. Sometimes I wish the car would blow up rather than have to reset my stations...Originally Posted by jdm-civic
J/k.. Yeah. Buying a new stereo is better than buying another car.

I will never forget the feeling when I walked out and my car was missing - I thought for sure I was mistaken where I parked it.
After reporting it to the police I found this website to report the car stolen online:

Hopefully it helps anyone else going through this.
hey guys have any of you thought about running a cut off switch all you do is find a wire for your ignition or fuel and cut the wire and run one side of it under your seat under your dash anywhere hidden and mount a switch then since a switch has two prongs a input and a output run the second wire from the switch back to the wire you cut and you have a complete circuit then just turn it off when you leave the car. there is no way for someone to steal your car if it does not run or start.well almost lol also there are more ways other then a switch you can make it so you have to honk the horn once for the car to start or hit the windshield wipers but there a little harder to wire up if you have any questions about it let me know more than glad to help out and stop these idiots from stealing email me at [email protected] really wont check here to often
I asked a girl if i could buy her a drink, she said I have a boyfriend, so I said, well i have a goldfish, she said what? I replied, oh I'm sorry I thought we were talking about shit that doesnt matter.
lets set some of these thieves up or set a trap for them.........
Can they still steal your car if your car has a imoblelizer system. Won't start without the key
My Car is so slammed that the jack wont fit under for my them to steal my rims, lol. And way to low to mount on a Tow Truck. Well to fix the tow truck stealing theifs they have new tilt sensors that are cheap. So if your car at any point in time is tilted or molested from its original stance the alarm Will go off. Good stuff. (Dynamic Sound Carrys them)
I click on the link and it's a spam website. Update link please.

Here's a good tip. Stop posting your cars and specs on forums. I can assure you that more than half of car thefts are because of forums. Thieves get on here and find cars that have a good bit of money put into them and make them a target for theft.
