so $3 for a lead position could be anywhere from $9-13 an hour. So full time might make you you 22k a year! plus insurance for a 19 year old on an sti. plus you go to school full time! LOL i can tell you from experience it wont work for you! (not the job thing just getting a very expensive car)

    1. Not everyone is alike. Some ppl can actually manage their money and that allows them to afford expensive cars ( Making Sacrifices ). O and he prolly going to get a low interest rate on the car and the insurance probably wont be as high as you think.

    2. Just show him support. Anybody can do anything if they are willing to put some effort into it.

    3. Army kid FTW

You jump down ppl throats who parents buy everything for them, but you cant show any support for someone that is willing to work to get what they want. **** you only live once, so enjoy it

hey i am just using me as an example, and i am pretty sure he cant afford the car on his own. trust me no matter how many sacrifices he made he couldnt afford it at 19. hell his insurance will be about 400-500a month on his own, around 350 if hes on his parents insurance. Also since hes wrecked a car, probably has a few speeding tickets i could imagine its going to be alot higher. Then making only $12-14 an hour will make you about 25k a year which is the cost on the car, and thats before taxes. insurance a year will be about 5-6k, then saying he doesnt have an apartment or pay rent, cell phone, school, credit cards, he couldnt afford it.

i am not putting the kid down, hell if hes going to school full time, and can afford that car outright without his parents help....alot of ****ing power to you! i am just saying from experience, if you are in school full time and work for everything on your own(non rich kid status) then your really going to put a strain on yourself to try and afford a 04 sti!
