They went to the mountains on an un-crowded day and weren't even messing around when the accident occured. It is amazing that he straightened it out under the conditions and managed to save himself from hitting it sideways and rolling around. I just dont think getting on a thread and wishing death uopn someone is right. He made a mistake. It happens.Quote:

what i am saying is take it to a race take to push the limits. do not push hard enough to fuck up on the street. he made it sound like it is okay to crash in the mountains. it is not . drive within your limits if shit gets scarry slow down. the comment to kill themselves is if they have a disregard or other peoples lives in the mountains. i get really pissed off when i see people passing on blind corners, (bikes and cars) up there u really have to push so hard that u cant wait till it is safe? what race are u running? wtf? i really dont understand. so it may have been safe to make the pass. cant tell. i have been on a run with jamal he seemed okay then. dont know what happened now but i hope he learned a lesson as well as every one here.
Well agree with you there because I don't think it is right to go past your limits. There is never a time when going past your limits is ok in driving. I also completely agree with you on the track aspect. It is much better to take your car to the track and get your speeding out of you there. However, the fact of the matter is, the mountains are an amazing place to drive and it is fun up there. I think that you are right but you made assumptions that he was doing stupid shit that wasn't called for. Also, I do see where you think that he makes it seem like its ok. It isn't ok. Messing your car up and brushing it off is horrible, but I don't think that is what he is doing. I simply think that he realizes what has happened and knows there is nothing he can do about it now but try to get his car fixed and learn from the experience. He just brushed it off online but away from the computer knows what happened and won't make the same mistake again.Quote:

Why dont you make it pretty again and mold everything back in like the played out sides you hvae
And your a hypocrite
There are double solids for a reason
When i do mountain runs, its in teh middle of the night, on roads that are made for it, when there are other cars doing the same thing, we arent passing innocent people that arent aware of whats going on
And since then, i got smart. GO TO THE TRACK ASSHAT
oh wait, you cant, you would get laughed off
And have your friend paint his fucking car, Mines been 3 colors since i told him to last time
:gay: i love how a person can think that their opinion equals the opinion of the masses. and personaly if i was in japan, i woulnd'nt be bothering with a forum that's atlanta related. i may not ever paint my car, out of spite ;) hell, it's easier to clean that way. if i get a scratch or a dent, i fix it and spray it. if it gets dirty,i hose it off and it's done. again, untill i am done with the body work/modifications, it'd be pointless for me to paint it. i don't have alot of time/money to work on my car(especialy now with a kid). and i'm not going to just park it untill it's done.
do us all a favor and keep overly opinionated ass in japan
id rather not. Im sure that ill be back in valdosta eventually, might as well stay here just to bug you right?
but dude on teh real
youve been saying that for 5 months now. It takes 2 hours to fully spraypaint a car, ive done it 4 times now
excatly, i wanna do it once, not 4
I understand Tim! And BIMMM3R hit it on the head! I definately didn't brush it off, I just realized sitting around and being pissed over the situation might have caused another fuck up on the way out. I've seen first hand how stress can alter someone's driving and I didn't want to ruin anyone elses day at all.
I've learned a lot from yesterday! Mainly, to enjoy the roads up there safely and to take the car to the track to pound on it.
at least no one was hurt thank god. yeah the track is safer for the public but u can still fuck a car up good at the track seen it many a times i always drive with the intent to drive the car home. hope u get it back on the road soon. later tim
Learn to drive on a track/autocross first, then go to the mountains.......
bondo and elbow grease, fixes it all
LOL i don't think that will fix frame damage and a busted radiatorQuote:

No offense, but the local autocross scene here in ATL is not the stongest and two years is still very little experience. To have a better understanding of the car's dynamics requires much more experience.Quote:

I've ran at Mission Raceway(located in British Columbia) and was broken into track racing at Pacific Raceways in Auburn, WA. I did that for alittle over a a year and 1/2 and have had the rest of my 2yrs down here in GA, where I would say is pretty weak compared to anythng out west! There's events going on year round and you always get to hit semi pro events where you can ride along on practice sessions with the level below semi pro (I forget what they're referred to as)!
We all know though that the roads this country has to offer differ greatly than any racetrack in this country. Most people involved in these racing events feel they get more experience out in real world situations, as becoming a better driver, because of the forever changing natural obstacles you have to overcome. A track is always prepped, cleaned, and maintained while roadways give in many instances. Not saying or encouraging people to practice on busy or even less dense roadways, but I like to build a knowledge of the changes in natural settings first, then eventually be able to take it to a track where things are controlled in a sense, and feel if it were easier. The same concept as your better motocross guys improving their skill by free riding where they can't predict what's coming. Once they feel comfortable in an non-uniform enviornment, going to a motorcross comp seems like cakewalk to them.
Yeah, I came from Florida where there were 6-10 National champion autocross drivers at the local events. That along with beginning my autocross experience in a car that is surely not a beginners car, helped alot. I want to do more track events, but that will come once the track car is ready for Spring.
wow the posters of this thread just dont see how retarded they are. Everythign done in this thread is irresponsible and stupid, i cant believe we are still debating that

I don't see where it's irresponsible......
I saw my fault, didn't deny my wrong doing, thus, not being irresponsible...
Stupid.....
Explain why I was stupid lmao! Then explain why/how you can attest me to being stupid in this fashion without you being there OR even having video proof of what happened. You're the one that's stupid for throwing out words and names for something that was un-controlable (in respects to what was going on). Obviously it was fully controlable if I were in your 240, because they're just the most ultimate handling cars over a cavalier!
Lmao!
Random Fact: Believe it or not, there are currently 3 cavaliers in SCCA and NASA national events running my same suspension set-up constantly placing 1st-4th over the last 3yrs against "better performing" cars! Since someone like you would not care about or would deny these facts, i'll try me hardest to get some proof! But who cares right.....it's still a cavalier!
:lmfao:
Very nice!!!

Damn American Civic :D Hey You said it Yourself.
:dunno: I can't deny it mayne! I respect my car and all, but I still know what it is and what it aint :DQuote:

on top of what jamal said. yes, we are aware that mtn runs are unlawful and could potintualy harm bystanders. that's why this one was done on sunday during church hours. we can't control all the aspects of it, there is too many variables, but try to elminate as much as possible (btw, mtn run at nite are just dumb). but you don't see anyone telling the streetbikers, cruiser bikes, and cyclists(G.D. douchebags) not to do it. and your going nuts of over a small group of CAVALIERS mtn running, but i'm sure you'd applaud the group lotuses and porche's that were out there haulling ass.
hell i'm a father! i'd hate to have someone hit a car vehicle with him inside( which did happen, one week after his was born) or for me to die up there. but that's how confindent/confortable i am with my car. but there is always a chance things can go wrong.....as did with jamal. the title of this could have said "jamal died during mtn run" but it didn't.
Very well Said Bro.Quote:
