Some pictures I took at the OBX
here's some pictures i took w/ my new camera on my trip to the OBX...i took a total of around 600 pictures that week. I brought y girlfriend w/ me this year so i took the long trip and drove all the way down to the hatteras lighthouse.
they were taken w/ a canon digital rebel xt.
the first one is of one of the breakwaters they put in place to try to stop erosion near the lighthouse...for those that dont know they moved the lighthouse in 1999 about 700 yards inland. because of the bad erosion it would have fallen into the ocean in a few years.
the second pic of taken right next to the old site. they have a round formation of stones in a circle marking the old spot the stones have all of the lighthouse keepers names engraved in them.
