This weekend I went to the races with the rest of the Mahdavi Crew over in Alabama. I had a good time. I'll share a few of the pics since I know some of you guys will appreciate these.

Some for my buddy Paul and anyone who likes clean VW's:
Some more for Paul:
Here's some for the leghumpers (no nasty remarks about the girl by the Supra. She's a friend of mine, so no disrespecting please):
Some action shots:
For all the Honda guys to get pissed about and all the Dodge boys to brag about:
I took about 170 pics, so I can't upload them all 3 at a time. I have something for just about everybody. I'll post some of the other unique ones later if yall want. There were some nice rides. There were some WTF rides. Our local guys represented well eventhough we all had mechanical problems at one point or another. All our local racers got podium finishes, so that is truly commendable. Congrats to all those guys. The track was garbage, so finishing at all was an accomplishment in itself.
those are some great pics dude! that supra looks hot!

nice pics!! I want to see some of your car
is that v8 power in the circletrack looking bug?
I'll post up more pics of the silver car tonight. All my pics are on my laptop at home.
Tracy- I'll post up some for ya tonight...
HIPSI- That bug actually had a VW motor in it, but it was kinda weird looking. The VW pros will have to help me on the technical side of it. I got a close up of it that I'll post later. It had a handbuilt manifold to hold a Holley 4 bbl carb. The motor looked like the typical rabbit motor. The carb had a wooden composite base plate. The actual engineering and time it took these guys to come with that is pretty amazing. I was impressed. I'll post up that close up later.
BTW, I'll also post up later the bike pics. They had a busa there running 8's. I've got some good bike pics. I'll post those up later too.

Finally, the most unique car there:
Sorry for the quality of some of those shots, but I didn't use a hood on the lens and there was blinding sun. It's a new cam, so I'm learning it's in's and out's.
Paul is going to upload the rest in a day or so.
Enjoy.

The r/t's were a lil slow weren't they? (I assume going off a .500 too)
Did the mini run, if so what were its times...?
What about that UAB CRX...am i already drunk or would that have too be rear wheel steering to turn?
That track must have been crappy. No one had good E/T's. The only improvement I see is Mahdavi breaking out of the 12's (if I'm wrong correct me). All of the Honda guys usually are in the 10's, right? WTF?
Vteckidd,Peters turbo blew in the semifinals so he couldn't do much in the finals. His car was the most consistent car there in turbo 4 running 10.5s@137 on almost every pass. Madhavis MK3 car has run mid 10s@137 with the old AEM setup. Sam said it took a crap and they had a factory computer with a VPC for this race but had some kind of issues with blowing off pipes i think.Originally Posted by tracy
yeah i heard everyone had issues. Peter just ran the finals to see if the other guy was going to red light. hence the 22second quarter

Exactly right. We had a problem with only making 14 psi of boost on the first qualifying run. We got to looking and found that there was a gash in the worst spot of a 90 deg coupling. We tried to fix it, but it kept breaking every pass, only allowing for low boost passes. Thru the generosity of many teams there, we pieced together a solution that allowed for some better boost in the elimination runs of Sunday. We still never got the amount of boost that the car was tuned at when we didn't have leaks, but we did what we could with what we had. Considering track conditions and mechanical gremlins, a podium finish wasn't entirely terrible.Originally Posted by WINDSOR
On Peter's car, the turbo shaft took a crap and Peter tried to fix it the best he could on the spot, but it just didn't want to hold for him either. I'm positive that had his turbo not gone, he easily would've been the overall winner. It sucks too because he was running good all weekend up until then. If I'd had a turbo, I'd given it to him because he deserved to win IMO. But that's racing.
BTW, Yamil Widy is also a local driver. He drives the Gray Supra from AAP. He ended up in 2nd place when he got put out by the RX7.com car of Ari in the finals.
Just to give everyone an example of how crappy conditions were, I got into it with the waterbox guy because for some Godforsaken reason he found it necessary to wet the ENTIRE freaking parking lot leading UP TO the waterbox. The track had no traction and this guy was NOT helping the situation any by wetting the freaking staging lanes. Genius, eh?
Patrycja also competed in the NOPI Chic class, which was bracket style. She ended up in 2nd because she broke out of a 13.0 dial in against Brittany's Cobalt. Patrycja beat her hands down head to head 12.7 to their 13.1, but since we broke out we broke out. Again, that's racing. I'm proud of her efforts though. She ran 12.7-13.0 every day like clock work. Although we had a huge scare when she almost got T-boned half track when another competitor lost traction, since once again they decided to send people down the track AFTER it started sprinkling. She kept her cool and steered around him to avoid him as he came across and hit her wall.
