    I saw the posts on NikonCafe and know about the fstoppers ones also, but personally, I think that your processing was fine - I think that the real issue is that Atlanta's cityscape is just not very engaging and interesting like a lot of other citys. Face it, when you ask someone that doesn't live in Atlanta to name famous buildings in citys, they will respond with the Sears Tower in Chicago, Alcatraz in SF, Empire State builgin in NYC, etc., but they usually can't name a building in Atlanta. Atlanta doesn't even have a real style to its buildings like Miami's beach hotels. That's not your fault and nothing that you can fix, obviously.

    When I was in Hong Kong, most of the people hadn't even heard of Atlanta, and that was just a few years after Atlanta hosted the Olympics. They all knew LA, Miami, NYC, etc.

    thanks man, you may be right but i truly want to believe that its possible to make a good photo out of something that is not as engaging. I never thought about it from your perspective though and might have to start thinking of alternative ways to make Atlanta's less than memorable city scape more pleasing.

    Haven't posted any lately, but I went over to PDK with my new Feisol monopod and my 80-200mm AF-S, and snapped some pics.

    Panning is a lot easier with a better quality monopod than my cheap one. Allows slowing down the shutter to get some prop blur.

    what type of editing software does everyone use???? all i have is the view nx2 that came with my d5100 and i find it very difficult to use and figure out...not user friendly at all

    ....it's just an hhr

    I mainly use Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photomatix. I have several Nik plugins that I use with them.

    ok thanks....photoshop is out of the question due to the price tag....just not that into photography and well i just got in it lol. i may order lightroom as it seems to have good reviews and doesn't cost a fortune.

    Get Adobe Lightroom. Pretty simple and you can always work you way up to PS.
