I like the pic Danny and the methods used but here is two things that bother me a lil about it. The background is way too brite, her shoulders blend in to the background but certain times of day this is unavoidable. The second thing is the angle of her head makes way to many lines in the neck area.

Sky... The way the shot was setup is.. On my boat, there is a set of stairs going up to the fly bridge, I was kinda sitting towards the bottom and she is at the top. I got into a position soo the background was mostly blue sky with some clouds. THe sun was directly behind her, so i used fill flash to drop the background and correctly expose her face (to the best of my ability). The end result is what u see. I did NOT change the back ground, or really anything for that matter in photoshop (besides the obvious sepia effect and leaving the glasses as the appear in the original photo). I think the end result is half way decent.

dang, you got me there lol those are the two things that bug me... lol.. i like the back ground, but the shoulder was unavoidable. and the angle of her head was neccesary (read my above post about how the shot was done)..

ohh, and this photo was not planned by any means, it was one of those "hey, wait, smile!!!" shots, I had little to do with the pose. but yes, i might PS out some of those lines on the neck area, ill try that tonight.
    thanks for the comments

Ah gotcha, I like the picture a lot. Almost like an catalog picture for a brand of sunglasses. What kind of flash are you using? Im hopefully picking up an SB-800 or 600 in the next week or two.

Haha i see you scott in here!! Post man...

I use a SB800, but that shot was using the built in flash. its all in the metering and exp control. BUt.. the 800 would have been better, but like i said, it wasnt a planned shot so i didnt even have my 800 with me.

Nemisis here is her myspace, maybe u know her??? http://www.myspace.com/jsdsid

**all the leghumpers that just clicked that link probably just crashed myspace..haha **

K, here's a couple more submissions on my behalf... The girl is a "special" friend of mine, and I'd love to post some more pics of her but I'll have to clear that with her first...

This picture was taken in 1 single shot with absolutely no photoshopping (besides cropping the pic down to 800x600)

Excellent pics Dean. I'm really liking the sunset pic. Excellent colors. I like the sharpness of the carrier shot.

Pher, I like yours too. Very artistic and detailed.

WI, I like the sharpness of yours too. I'm a sucker for sharp pics.

Charles, cool pics. How did you hide the glowsticks as you moved?????
