I just got my camera not too long ago. It's a Canon Powershot SX100 IS. I'm still trying to figure things out with it, and I'm just starting to try to take pictures like these. Anyway, maybe these are alright.
The quality isn't great because they were automatically compressed. :(

Thanks for the tips. I realized when I got to the office my ISO was at 1600. :eek:Quote:

Good luck. try iso 100-250, and get a decent tripod. That will make your shots go from crap to decent with out any effort. remember no to actually press the shutter release when using a tripod, set the timer for 2 or 3 seconds so ur hand doesnt vibrate the tripod. Also, cover the view finder with ur hand (but dont touch it), this will keep unwanted light from bouncing around in there (SLR only).
Thanks again!!
I'm trying to do the best I can with this camera. I couldn't afford a D-SLR. :(
I took these the other day at my company, stock K10D kit, no filters, lenses or anything.
I'm an extra noobie at this. Resized pics kinda lost their clarity. I hope you guys enjoy the scenes.
Btw, the name and title is just something I'm using for my personal business. It has nothing related to photography as I'm no expert :D

I don't have a tripod yet, so the car worked as such. I used a 2" delay on the shot so I wouldn't vibrate it.
Bad settings?
Some I took yesterday. I think I'm progressing?

I want to get down to that bridge that you can get the skyline of atlanta soon. Anyone want to join me? Maybe this weekend?
Actually, that would be awesome to go to the bridge. :goodjob:
My equipment? All I have is a Canon Powershot SX100 IS. I should be getting a tripod soon.

SX100 looks like a nice camera, what mode do you shoot in? Your photos seem to come out low quality, sure ur not using digital zoom/ high ISO/ high compression? ( i assume ur using a tripod for your evening shots?)
They allow jetskis in that pond with the ducks? i need a place to practice lol.

Can I go to the Atlanta skyline outing? :ninja:
Here's one I took recently. I'm getting a nicer lense soon. :goodjob:
too much noise for me..

Sure Jamie. What night this weekend works best? You got ur CFL right, cause i dont.. not yet at least lol
Yea cheaper P&S cameras are able to take good shots, if you can use the camera. And know how to touch them up a little in PS.
That pic of the supra looks very good.
Puregroove, dammit.... whos the hottie lookin at u, omg.. hottest pic i have seen on IA for a long time. She could make a fortune with that smile.
I'm only shooting in Manual Mode. You have to factor in I have no tripod, and I'm only posting these straight to myspace with no editing or resizing. Myspace is doing its own auto-resize, that could be a problem with them.Quote:
