Default My Stroll through New Orleans

Went to New Orleans for my bachelor trip this past weekend and had a blast. spent some time walking around taking pictures trying to keep a creative mind open as well have the photo journalistic mindset.

First thing we did when we got there was walk Bourbon street. I think all of us being our first time there were over whelmed. It still amazes me everything that goes on there, what you can do and all of the possibilities.

I literally shot everything with my 50 1.4, never took my 85 out. I love this little lens.

The View when we first got there

Really enjoyed how a lot of street signs were made to look old 9or perhaps it just aged quickly due to the salt in the air from the ocean)

we definitely saw some bad areas when we were looking for a home depot (thats another story about repairing a hole in the wall at our rental lol)

the home depot was like fort knox, right in the ghetto with huge walls surrounding it and police crowd control stands in the parking lot lol. and it was a brand new home depot all nice and shit.

tourist pictures seem to have that effect lol. i tried to give it some realism with the street shots of the homeless.

Don't get me wrong that place is awesome...Depending on what part your in. If you ever get a chance try to go to mardi gras. Just make sure you don't walk to far or you will see more dicks then chicks.
