So I'm off work, I'm bored, and I have new camera stuff. someone indulge me. I'm a rank amature compared to some of these guys on the forum but I'd like to think im pretty good. anyway, first person with a decent car to pm me or post up here wins free pics of their car.

A photo shoot is generally used in the fashion industry, whereby a model poses for a photographer at a studio where multiple photos are taken to find the best ones for the required brief. A model is not always a person however; there are some times when a photo shoot of a food for a magazine is done showing characteristics for commercial use.

Taking pictures of a car or cars somewhere = photoshoot. Might not be a good photoshoot that meets your standards, but a photoshoot nonetheless. Although he did a good job and got some great pics! I can't wait to see them after pp.

Ameteurs still charge money...some ppl on here are probably ameteurs and they charge...imo a professional is someone who does this for a living and has 5+ years experience. That would probably encompass most photogs here...although that's not to say that they aren't very skilled. But even when michael jordan started out in the nba he was badass but was still an ameteur....

they're one in the same, although I wouldn't consider going outside and taking pics in the driveway a photoshoot, but technically it is...

just to step in and clear something up. if i take a picture of my cawk with my iphone for commercial use, like a add for a porn site, then its a photoshoot. if i take a picture of britney spears with 15 grand worth of camera gear for her to make a print and give it to her mom for mothers day its NOT a photoshoot.

commercial use = photoshoot

so by me getting a call and the guy wanting me to come take pictures of a car on the garage mat's that he makes to put in mail order catalogs. that would be considered a "photoshoot"? here is on of the pictures. and sorry for the thread jack.
