Default Black friday Camera Sale question

Ok so black Friday has come around again and I'm in the market for a new camera. I'm getting married this coming year and with the honeymoon and such i want a nice one. So i have been looking around and i need some input. I have narrowed it down to the Canon rebel T1i, The Nikon D5000 and The Nikon D3000. I like them all but i think I'm leaning towards the canon since it can do full 1080hp video as well. Reps for good input.

    Input:

Unless you are willing to fork over ~1–1.5x the money on lenses + a flash as the camera body, then you might as well get a nice point & shoot instead.

good advice. a point and shoot will probably be your best bet for value and ease of use.

I am a DSLR guy, but when it comes to personal time with my girl...going out to clubs, bars, hiking, bla bla... I use a canon point and shoot because most of the time it can get the job done just fine. the point and shoot all in one camera is worth the tradeoff of not having to lug around the gear bag and camera while wanting to focus on things other than my camera.

Video on DSLRs is overrated. I've used mine twice.

Your saying i would be better off just getting something like the xsi and not spending the extra 100 bucks on the video T1i. And the T1i is going to be $100.00 off for black friday sale.

nope the T1i is better if you are going to pit those 2 against each other.

Personally video wasn't a selling point for me. I bought my D90 because of the sensor being nearly identical to that of the D300. If you want to be able to shoot HD video, I'd get a HD camcorder.

Don't let us discourage you. Taking photos with an SLR is all sorts of fun once you figure out what you're doing and have a couple of lenses to play around with.

We are just trying to make sure that you go into it with your eyes open.

You should borrow an SLR for a day or two to see if it strikes your fancy.

what black friday sale are you refering too? besides. anyways as far as camera's go. unless you plan on getting into it a lot more, buing lenses/flashes/filters etc. then go with a point and shoot. i bought an slr i havent used it in a long time. mostly cause i have been busy as fuck and i also have not had the money to fork over for lenses. but, you have to KNOW that in the long run you will get use out of that camera.
