Default IT TAKES ALOT OF WORK AND TIME.....

lately i have been looking at other photographers image builds, seeing what it really takes to produce a REALLY good photo. the more i got into it the more i realized that spending an hour on 1 shot is nothing and there are reasons why some peoples work look so much better than mine (and yours lol)

ive learned alot from this stuff and thought id share....

    and my own.....

    ok here we go......

    -rig was clone stamped out
-vignetting from stacked filters was removed(clone stamp)
-car paint WB was adjusted(too warm on front bumper)
    -shadow/highlight tool on the wheels/tires
    -selective color on the calipers
-vents on the front bumper were burned
-power pole growing out of the roof was clone stamped out
-trees/background was darken to allow car to "pop" more
    -car was brightened
-reflections in the side windows were removed(clone stamp and burn)
-sky was layer via copied in and then blended
-some smart sharpening on parts of the car

question though, why are you stacking filters? Just me, but I hate filters man, its just adding more glass in front I bet if you shot without filters you would find a higher level of photo clarity/quality.

the ND/CP filters stop it down so at a 2-3 second shutter speed during the day the photo isnt over exposed. with out the filters you wouldnt be able to use a long enough shutter speed to "spin" the wheels.

do rolling shots. if you know somebody with a minivan lay in the back with the sliding door open at like 40 mph....have some friends hold your legs so you dont fall out somehow LOL and shoot in shutter priority at 1/40 second. that way you will get that "low" look of a rig then read the links i posted on editing pictures. take your time on the edit, do it right and then your good

its not that hard. the most difficult part is editing the rig out and the fact you have to have something atleast 12mm or wider lens wise.

some of the links i posted were rig shots but really the editing that was done to the images is what i wanted to show. if you want to produce pictures that are really good then alot of work has to go into them, multiple exposures and alot of nit pick work like changing the wheels/windshield/background/sky/ect.

im just starting to learn what it takes to do that shit and it has motivated me to step it up and i just felt like i needed to share cause those image builds that i saw taught me alot and inspired me.

thats why hiring a photographer is so expensive. it is NOT crazy to ask $150 to shoot a car and provide 5 photos. those 5 photos would take 10-15 hours of work.

Your good with the clone stamp. This thread was nice, I don't know if I'll ever get around to putting in the effort to doing a shot like that with so much editing.

this is an awesome thread, It really makes me want to build a rig and get a better camera. how do you take the pics while its moving? with a remote? all my experience is in the post processing. I guess seeing that I cant afford any kind of nice camera.

Id love some constructive criticism on my own work if anyone would oblige.

the car is only going at a walking pace, the slow shutter speed makes the car look like its going ALOT aster than it is. i use a wired remote to trigger the camera.
