    Default Got a Canon XS

I wanted to give it a shot. i had thought about nikon. but then i realized that i had some parts and stuff for another canon slr i used at one point. so i said what the heck and got the XS. im just taking pictures of certain things i think would look cool. but nothing special. ill post them up tomorrow after work so i can get criticism.

alright. so i got some time and finally uploaded the pics. i couldnt take really any good pictures besides these since it was night by the time i got to use it. but i took pics of what was right next to me. keep in mind they are not edited as i dont have my PS uploaded on my comp yet. but here they are

now i took multiple pics of the same things to get the shot that i wanted and thought looked good. so yeah. there you have it!

thats fine but you're shooting at 1600 and there is no need to shoot that high when you can lower the ISO to get less grain and let more light in. you will have less grain like i said and you'd have the same amount of brightness or lack there of brightness as you have now

its the type of lighting that was on the controller. i wasnt trying to get picture to look pristine and bright cause the room i was in was no where near it. as i said. those pics besides the to black n white ones were as close to the lighting in that room as i could get. i only had one light on and it happened to be shining on that part.

its not about making it look "pristine" or whatever....xbox controllers aren't yellow, they are white. That is the point of a white balance - to make white true white and black true black. If you shoot raw, you can fix this later in the raw editor. if you shoot jpeg, you can set your white balance off a piece of printer paper... watch this video:
