My friend got one of those....it seems to work well, but before I go and spend my precious rent money, I wanted some opinions...

The Sandisk brand cards go for double or triple that price. Would I be paying for the name or speed or authenticity or what?

    Thanks for anything!

No catch, they're pretty cheap. I bought an 8gb Kingston CF card from MicroCenter for 25 bucks. I think I'll probably get one of these too. Mine works just fine
