I am looking for a sponsor for the TDi season. Yes, I was accepted. That part of it is done. If they dont want to do TDi, then we will be doing Pro-IT. It cost $45,000 for the VW TDI cup season and im looking for a sponsor to hop on board with us.Oh damn. I tohught you were looking for sponsors to pay your way through a race season. Sorry.

Yah. It is expensive and that doesn't include crash damage. One of my bf.c friends did it and he said the rich guys with deep pockets were driving like it was a demo derby. They just paid and got car fixed and kept going. Lots of guys missed races trying to pay and have car fixed.

Yeah, thats the way it is with racing in a series where you pay to drive. I remember karting with people like timmy megenbier and them having 100k karting budgets! I just dont have that kinda money. Thats why I have sponsors...

The economy. Lots of companies are pulling out. Not fronting money to pay someone else to race with their name on their ride.

Strange enough I have had more luck this season so far with getting sponsors then any other, even getting money up front.
I am sure there are companies doing it. But I mean Subaru is pulled out of WRC. Honda is out of WRC. Big names pulled out of ALMS or limit races. Audi is only running Sebring with their LM cars.

Audi, that's it. DHL Porsche because of DHL not because of the economy. There are really a lot of newer teams entering or plan on entering. Factory teams are hurting. And DHL is no longer in the USA so no money for penske in ALMS. BUT, penske is running in Grand-Am with a DP car now.I am sure there are companies doing it. I think that'd look good with the number and class in a box on the door, maybe ITR above the number, and move the business logo further back on the rear quarter.
The meeting has been pushed back so we have a few more days at this.
