you want to do mine? i have like 2 or 3 little specks.
find out where your mirror lock up is and blow it out dude, its not hard. get a rocket blower and then everytime it happens you can deal with it. i got dust on my sensor at santa run, went to the car and dealt with it. if i didnt know what to do i woulda been fucked.Originally Posted by boostedb16

ok chad, i will see about getting one of those rocket thing's. does wolf sell them?
Take it to CRJ in Norcross or Peachtree Camera in Marietta. Both are certified Canon and Nikon repair centers. Camera cleanings are $50 at Peachtree and I think $60 at CRJ.Originally Posted by 00CelicaGT

It's really not that hard, and dust on the mirror/bottom of pentaprism? don't worry about that shit, just keep the sensor clean, the other dust doesn't effect images.
DX has a sensor blower for $3, I bought it ans it works WELL.
^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle
i was at target the other day, and they have some shitty low end dslr's and the mirrors and internal things were COVERED in fingerpritns. it was pretty nasty
yea i have seen d40's at wal mart that had everything you could imagine in them. one had a sucker stuck in it.Originally Posted by james

you have to see the condition of that mirror. it drives me crazy
hell my boos come's in with his roll around case that has a d3, two d80's, a d50 and about 6 lense's that cost about $1200.00-$2000.00 each and all of his shit is always dusty as hell. He does send them off to get cleaned but it looks like if he would be alittle more carefull. his equipment would not get like that. when you are rich, i guess it dont matter.Originally Posted by james
Well if you buy equiptment like that, it;s designed to put up witha lot of abuse, so maybe he just uses it where it's supposed ot be used, hiking, boating, rain storms, dusty windy places etc?Originally Posted by boostedb16

Just went and picked up my camera from PCR. I wasn't expecting them to clean the outside too! It's in this plastic bag and almost looks like it's been sterilized lol. It's so clean that I ALMOST don't want to use it haha.
Yeah they clean it up, I was very impressed with their service.
