Default Specific help w/ removing spyware...

Here's the program the that installed on my computer after I clicked an active-x video.
Absolutely safe to click on the link. It just tells you how the programs installs and how you get paid for running the program
    http://buckstoolbar.com/program.html

When trying to remove the programs from my control panel I get an error message saying "unable to open" then the following 3 programs.
    unable to open: http ://buckstoolbar.com/uninstalll/OfferOptimizer.html
    unable to open: http ://buckstoolbar.com/uninstall/searchassistant.html
    unable to open: http ://buckstoolbar.com/uninstall/shoppingwizard.html

I ran Adware and SpySweeper and the pop ups still continue and my computer still runs a little slower.

What program can I use or where can I located the files in my harddrive to remove them permanantly??

Guessing you have windows, try running msconfig.exe. Go to run, type in msconfig.exe. See if you can find the programs listed under the START UP tab and uncheck the box next to them, then restart. This wont uninstall but should disable it from starting with windows. You can always go back and check the boxes if something isnt right after doing it. To find the files, try.FIND then FILES AND FOLDERS and type in offeroptimizer see if it can find it. Some spyware cant be uninstalled.

First make a backup of your registry. If you do not know how, Click Here.

    Then,
Start > Run > type "regedit"

Then go to each of these reg settings and see if you see the "buckstoolbar" or any of the three things you are looking for. If you see them, delete them. Be careful not to delete anything that you are unsure about, however, the backup that you did first can be used to restore settings if you make a mistake.

Also, use Spybot Search and Destroy as well as Spyblaster to protect your machine from getting any spyware like this. Hit me up on AIM if you need any help.

You cant remove those till you remove that program that you installed. You basically signed up to view popups and those other programs are there to monitor what you are doing so they can send you popups tailored to you.
