services technician? what does that entail?
i went to school for telecommunications and have worked for a telecom place before, looking for more work now, but just curious what you did there.
sorry, i didnt mean to sound creepy about asking about your job, but i read it in another thread and figured this would be the best way to ask you since it was your thread

You have to pay $20 for the program to put it in your "PDA".

Nah its cool, services technician basically deals with POTS (Plain Ole Telephone Service) with basic installation and repair of phone lines, but now I do DSL installs and some basic networking, nothing too in depth. Its a cool job with good pay and bellsouth is certainly a good company.

Much more, I'll get a headache trying to explain all the variables in setting up a line for DSL especially when you start dealing with 6mb/sec service. The whole process takes about 2 hours from start to finish, what you've listed only deals with inside of the house and nothing with the line outside. The job isn't manual labor but it surely isn't a walk in the park either.
