    Default dreamweaver editor problem

NOt sure if many people on here use dreamwaver a lot but i'm having a VERY annoying problem with dreamweaver. I'm using it to simply edit the files on my remote ftp server and have it auto upload them when i save them. The problem is that for some reason dreamweaver is adding an extra:

    ]' ]'

every time i save the file. If i delete it, save it, close the file and reopen, it is automatically back. i cANNOT get it to go away unless i use something like notepad to edit the file.

I really don't care about any of the help features of the editor except for the highlighting, so i tried turning everything off that i didn't need. still no luck. does anyone have ANY idea whats up??? this is REALLY agrivating...

also, I think its a good practice to download the file your manipulating, make the changes, then reupload the file over the old one.
