I want to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras Has anybody been there in the past? Any past experience on where to go and what to do and what not to do. Should I take someone or should I get somebody there, what day should I go, I would like to go on a weekend..........

I have been twice. It was quite the experience. I'd say go at least once with some buddies. Most hotels give you braclets. You have to have them to get into the hotel. Tell them you lost it so you can get an extra. Pay extra to stay closer to bourbon st. Take some buddies and have a blast. Next year that is.

The best way to describe New Orleans is as an open septic tank. Add in a hundred thousand more people, it becomes an open septic tank after a 6 week taco bell and cheap beer binge.
