Deputy Sheriff/Jailer questions
Hello peep,'s I was wondering if anyone knows what I should expect during the hiring process for a jailer position at gwinnett county jail.
I already have my background check papers in the mail, Will I have to do the same training as a police officer? Anyone on this site a police officer?
It's not the speed that kill's its the sudden stop at the end.
I doubt you'd go to police Academy. I know you will possibly get hired on and do training for like 3 to 5 months of training. You'll most likely be night shift were everyone is mostly asleep so not much going on.

Yes you will go through a physical training.

Of course physical training. Upon the hiring process they should give you an agility test also a mile or mile 1/2 run.
