    Default Question

So yea - I'm going to be putting my house up for sale soon and I have a question.

Should I paint the rooms in the house or just leave them the beige color they are? I have paint for some of the bedrooms, but not for the downstairs, etc. I have heard both that it helps when selling and it also can hurt when selling, so I'm not sure.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is it true I should remove all personal things from sight? For example, pictures, stuffed animals, etc so that a person looking at the house will see it more as their house rather than my house? I just want to make sure I'm doing things correctly.

If the walls are a neutral beige color then yes, leave them as they are.

As for removing personal stuff, I would do that anyway. Never know what kind of crazy person might be coming into your house.

I remember when I sold my house in Florida, my realtor told me to make the house less personal so the future buyer could envision themselves in the house. Guess its a selling technique <<shrug>>. No personal photos or collectibles.

The house did sell in like a week, and truly wasnt anything to special (first house) so maybe she had a good point.
