that one and another have been up there for a minute. The other they were asking $375 for and ended up selling it for like $340 picked up. I think this guy will come down a bunch too.

Oh on a side note. I am trading for a S&W 410s at a ridiculous deal if you know of anyone who wants one! Great little pistols.

340 would be an awesome deal. I see the GI models for 425 in the store (used) now and then, but typically in better cosmetic shape than the one posted above. But i would love to get that stainless GI and build a retro shooter. Keep everything GI spec but the fire control, and dehorn the weapon, then sandblast to get a nice matte finish. Maybe even a commander hammer then bob the grip safety? hmmmm sexy. Maybe brushed flats on the slide only? ooo weee.

Squeeze / Press.. Whatever.. Tomatoe.. ToeMahToe.. haha..

$340 is a good deal on any quality 1911. Have you done any research on any of the V10 series pistols? I got a neighbor that wants be to do some work on his ultra compact v10 stainless... Looks like a neat tool.

ALot of people claim 3-3.5" compacts are not reliable. I have attended almost all of my pistol courses with a compact because that is what i normally carry on a day to day basis. I have owned prlly close to 30 ultra sized pistols. Springers, Kimbers, Les Bear, RIA, etc.. I have never had one problem. They have the same areas of concern as the full size guns and once you address those areas you are fine. ALOT and I mean ALOT ALOT ALOT of people who buy the ultra sized guns came from a glock or polymer framed gun. We all know that debate. Glock is better than 1911 because I dont have to blah blah blah... BS BS BS...

Anywho.. I have been doing alot of research into ported guns and I recently shot a ported glock and was impressed with it ALOT! They are not as bad as some would think and they are actually making some ammunition for ported guns. Anywho..

I am always trying to learn something new and tinkering on a new project to broaden my horizons. If I had thousands of dollars and only shot 1911's ever then I would be a 1911 smith full time. I get bored easily and not EVERYONE shoots 1911's. Most of the work I get is randomized and broad. If I am not well versed I loose customers if that makes since.

    way cool, and single stack

Ya the reliability debate for short guns is interesting. I was thinking the v10 issues were becuase it was double stack, but i have no knowledge of them. But i think it would be cool if you go double/single stack, doesnt matter.

Think i want to see if there is anything trigger kits i can get for my kahr. I really want the reset length shortened alot.

ya, C&S are proud of thier khars. I dont think they make parts kits or anything for trigger jobs.

I posted up a new project I got on trade. I guess one of the mods deleted it because i said i wanted to sell it and another gun of mine to by a car for my brother. Anywho...

I picked up a s&W 410s. A neat little pistol. I am working on trading it for a cw9 so i can have a kahr to work on. I borrowed my neighbors and have been looking at it. I think I can rework the ramp of the trigger to adjust pull and reset length. Anywho.. If I end up getting it i will let you know and I will order a couple of replacement triggers to start practicing with.

My buddy has the commander itch, and is eyeballing the springfield GI. Gotta get him sold on that.
