    Default Jesus...God in flesh

just curious to hear what some of the beliefs on this are out there amongst the different denominations of believers. i personally dont believe in denominations or religion but in a true deep meaningful relationship with God. i believe Jesus Christ was the Messiah prophesied about in the old testament and that He was God Himself wrapped in flesh. i believe that He died on the cross to provide salvation for us and He sent back His spirit as the Holy Ghost which believers are able to recieve. i believe the plan of salvation is to repent of your sins and old life, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and to be filled with the Holy spirit. i also believe that the Holy Bible is the LIVING Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to men to record. i believe it is THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH and the final Word in any believers life. i believe in the gifts of the spirit, speaking in tongues, healings, prophecy, ect....

anyone else care to share their own beliefs?

Ok. I do believe Jesus was a real person....

But I often struggle of Him being God in the flesh.....

I mean.. if God would allow Himself to be killed like a common man.....it wouldn't be so "Godlike", would it?

And did God still exist in heaven while Jesus was on earth? So both were Gods? Wouldn't that be polytheism? It is generally accepted that Jesus was the 'Son of God", but was he God, or A God himself?

And if GOD himself proclaimed in the commandments "Thou shalt not have any other Gods before me" and "You shall not make for yourself an idol", why are some churches mainly adoring Jesus? And have the crucifix with him on the cross at the Altar? That is an idol right there.

Not trying to bash or anything, just wanted to see if you have any answers to those questions. Thanks.

Jesus allowing Himself to be killed is not cuz it wasnt godlike. in the old testament the people had to go to an alter and bring sacrifices to a high priest who in turn would burn it and pray for that person and there families and that families sins would be pushed forward a year. but people just couldnt live up to the commandments and so God made it easier for us. He came as Jesus, lived a perfect sinless life, told the people of the new plan of salvation, and He Himself became the sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins and allowed us to go to Him without a high priest.

and God and Jesus are not seperate. God is the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost in regeneration. they are one and the same, just different manifestations. there is only ONE God.

and some churches to worship false idols. they pray to crosses and to saints instead of to God. not everyone that calls themselves a christian are what they claim to be. its unfortunate but true.
