Ya more info... I have never heard of the club and if it has some cool dancing I might be up for it.
You have an OG breaker right here, man. I remember the first time I got on the floor was in 1984. I was in Gainesville, GA at a military school. A few of us and I went to the local mall and bought a couple of cassettes (Run DMC and Herbie Hancock, brand new) and got someone to give us a couple of cardboard boxes and we went back to campus and danced at any time that we could. I was practicing and all before military school, but never really got in it better until then. Below is a poster I got when I bought the soundtrack to the movie Breakin' back in 1985. This is actually MY poster. Also below is a pic of (one just like mine) the boombox I carried everywhere I went. Later, QD.

Some of my buddies I use to skate with were B-Boys. I use to go with them to discovermills (skateparks) and watch them.
yea the spot is a good spot for dancing..club is called MJQ located off ponce de leon..21 and up..(if your not 21 and up pm me) ive been there almost every saturday night and its poppin with dancers (house dancing, popping, liquid dancing, breaking, etc)..not your wild bills and velvet room type but its something different. the leader of the ATLANTA FUNKLORDs is always there. i went last weekend with my friends on IA and they really enjoyed it. im going again this weekend with more people and if you guys are down lmk we can meet up and ride out.
I used to break a good bit ago. --had to put it on the shelf then. I could probably still get down if all the joints were oiled. One of my homeboys cuts it up with Burn Unit on a regular basis.![]()
our crew was actually one of the best back in the days well the best in the south side back in stockton, cali lol...we had people sponsor us to do show for kids every week at a different library...it was fun while it lasted but i sure dont mind coming out just to see bc i will probably just hurt myself now lol...jose remembers the 1st time i moved out here and he took me to the varsity people starting popping and dancing i went in and bust a move and damn its felt great and painful lol...but anywase hit me up if you in the gwinnett
area i really dont mind watching bboys..
Come on, man. You can't be out of shape at your age. I see your age and you were born in 1985? My post above with the poster in it will tell you I bought that poster the same year you were born, lolol. The only popping you were doing while I was doing the worm was you popping out the womb and shit, lolol. Stockton, huh? I represent Long Beach. Later, QD.
^^^lol the last time i really did it was in 2000...but get all of us together and im sure we might have a fun battle lol...
Haha, unfortunately MJQ aint quite what it used to be so we dont hit it up too much anymore. The music is hit or miss plus I'm gonna rest up for a jam on Saturday. Have fun though, and dance your asses off.
Cypher Jam (i.e., not a competition) called Rock or Flock...

Hmm don't know Zerk and I've never been to the practices at the relapse but you'll meet lots of people from HBO crew if you go. They are the ones who run the practices there.

I live walking distance from MJQ. Haven't been in forever. I must admit my BGirl days were over in my 20's, but I still like to shake my ass.

We are having a drum n bass party at 5 Spot in Little 5 in Feb. Free admission. I'll make sure to post about it. My friends from Atlanta Dubstep will be there playing records. Should be a good, old school time.
