You can tell this just by looking at the face, it is sorta scrunched together as deer grow and mature over time their face along with body grows and becomes longer. Also there is no way this deers rack wasn't going to get any bigger. First off because its a young deer so it had alot of maturing to do and being its a 4 point if given a few more years would have turned into probably a very presentable buck by the way the rack is going out towards the ears and up. I am not trying to be an ass or anything because yes this is a very good meat deer seeing the age it probably is means the meat is most likely pretty tender. Also another thing spikes are known to age and not produce a nice rack or even produce a rack at all because of their genetics, yes some spikes do turn into decent deer after a few years but most stay spikes their whole life and the deer that are like this don't produce any points off of what they have already been growing the spikes continue to get longer and maybe even have some mass to them as well but no character. My brother shot a 3 1/2 year old spike last year and its antlers were over a foot long but not producing any distinct character so he took it so its genetics couldn't be spread. Him and my dad used to manage about 600 acres and they trimmed out the bucks and does that weren't showing signs of good nutrition and genetic make-up which made for a very promicing and rewarding few years to come. But once again all-in-all congrats on the deer and good luck for the rest of the year.
