I think a lot of people don't believe in God or have there indifferent opinions because they feel it justifies their actions. The ones that think this life is just supposed to be lived and then you die. There is more to it. I think those people just don't want to answer to a higher power. It's sad really. Being a Christian is not easy, I'm not gonna lie. It's hard overcoming temptations everyday. In the end, I know it's worth it. God shows His many blessings now and I will walk with Him after I pass. Makes life worth living knowing that I am doing something right. I live a life of serving others. Get right with the One that made you.

Wouldn't it be rather difficult to fit most creatures on the ark in the firstplace? Also considering the fact that there are many many species of creature. And did Noah take plants onto the ark as well? Because a lot of plants will die if they are suspended underwater.

How do I know it's God? I feel His presence. He makes me feel great. He does what He says He's going to do. He blesses the people that follow His direction. That's how I know.
You can't take the Bible out of context like that. If you look at the Psalm you are referring to I will direct you to Isaiah 13:16 which is referring to a prophecy about Babylon. You have to look at the Old Testament and New Testament a little different from one another. The OT is a very violent book. The NT is a guide for how we should live. Don't take the Bible out of context or you will get pwned.

Like I said, He never had AIDS and doesn't now. He had HIV and doesn't now. He didn't have any transfusions or transplants. It was all God and His power to do the "impossible."

But you must understand that you are physically capable of developing cancer. You most likely wont get it if you have no recent family history of it, and you keep your body clear of cancerous stuff. But you are capable of getting it. Don't tell me you can run naked through a highly radioactive area smoking cigars on a hot sunny day while drinking toxic liquids without getting cancer.

I think the complexity behind this is to much to simply chat about over a computer screen. If your interested in it, go to a discussion group or talk to some philosophers. You'll learn a lot and I guarantee you'll have a new outlook if your not very familiar with the subject. I had a room mate who was quite smart and literally dropped out of school because all he did was research Myan philosophy. I have a feeling if he ever grows up he may change his habits so he can succeed with his education and balance the time he spends on his interests instead of constantly talking about it.
I am a very "by the fact" type of person, so his extremely open mind and my way of thinking brought together some great conversation..
What I can tell you is simple......
Based on the Myan calendar, what's "known" evidence and my beliefs, I think around the year 2012 there will be significant change. It may not be obvious, and probably not anything life threatening (for now), but something in the universe and the world is going to change that's going to alter how we view our current future. It probably won't affect us much, or our kids, or our kids kids but it may be something that'll eventually lead to a different Earth or a lack there of, maybe thousands of years from now. I don't believe in an "end of the world" or an "antichrist" or "global destruction" because there just isn't enough evidence to support it (that I know of). However, I do believe there may be a "change" that'll occur do to their amazingly successful studies in astronomy in the past and I think it's a theory that's reasonable to consider true.

i like your thoughtsw on that, very good. i dont think the earth is going to blow up and jesue is coming back but something is up. i noticed that throughout history several wars and other events were done a certain astrological times. hte universe has a pulse which is connected to us. we have seen the science behind the cycles of the earth and one thing that gets me in ancient civilizations just dissapeared but left us clues or what not. i keep an open mind b/c in my eyes thats the only way to be. i hate hard core cosed minded people that even if you have a valid point they cry BS, like extreme christians for example.. i laughed when i heard abt donations for bibles for iraq, big waste of $$ if you ask me. that and everything on the planet is made on energy, where does it come from and where does it go. next jehova's witness that comes to my house is gonna be told planet X is coming to get them. lol i love messing with some people. i will never tell someone what to believe in but throwing around theories never hurts either. after 15 yrs of these types of conversations(sometimes on LSD when younger) i keep an open mind on what people say, but i got annoyed at a few christians at athens tech who tried to ram it down my throat. you know according to new info given to the LEO's christians are actually labeled as a form of militia/domestic terrorist these days. good post man.
