Alright everyone, check it. Here is the deal. If it's not what you believe then don't bash me please. I have been a Christian for a while but have recently started going to a church that has taught me much. It is a Charismatic church which freaked me out a bit at first because I was accustomed to Lutheran services. I continued to go there and The Spirit of God can be felt in this church. I have become closer to God and my faith is ever becoming stronger. If you are one of the people that think God is imaginary, I can tell you from experience that He is real and He is working in our lives. Not just my life, but yours as well. He wants you to stop persecuting Him. He loves you and wants you to walk with Him.

I have seen many blessings not just in my life, but also in the lives of others. By listening to God and being led by The Spirit you can accomplish much. We have become a country who rely on men to lead us and guide us. That is our first mistake. Christians are not all hypocrites. I really want to help others and I don't believe in using a scare tactic. I believe we should use Jesus' example in the Bible to minister to others. He was a man led by compassion for the poor and wounded. That is why He died for us all. He bears all of our sins, pains and griefs.

As for modern times, all of the stuff that happened in the New Testament of the Bible is still happening today. Healing, Prophecy, Miracles, they all still happen. Whether you believe it or not is your decision. Do I believe that something will happen in 2002? It's possible, the signs of the times point to it. When you live your life like God wants you to live it, it really doesn't matter. For all that don't believe me read Matthew 24. Do some studying and ask God what He thinks and what He wants for you.

Okay, as a kid I would go to Sunday school as most of us latinos do. I was too young to exactly know the influence and power that was being slipped into my young, unwilling, and unknowing mind. This period I have little memory of, but this is when the bonds of religion make their biggest impact - when you are young and soaking up all of this 'information' they put in your head as 'fact' in an attempt to prevent questioning it afterward.

So many people just 'go along with it' because it's what they have done since they were a child. Don't get me wrong though. Sunday school was fun - during lunch break and recess that is haha. Oh, and flirting with all the girls. :p

So after a couple years went by I grew and continued feeling this way. After a while all these thoughts, and others, I came to the conclusion religion was not for me. Too many things didn't add up, and I just did not have this 'faith' that basically ignorantly tied together loose ends with a make believe bond. To further explain what I mean by that - there are many things that do not make sense, at all, in regards to the Bible, religion, God, etc. How are those things addressed? You just have to have faith, is what they say. So, faith is this invisible bond that puts together these loose ends, not answers, but faith. Two completely different things, but in religion they are looked at with the same purpose.

The longer I went with that the more I realized that God is simply an emotion.

Marinate on this for a min.

When things go bad - people turn to God.
When things go well - people praise God.
When someone is lost - they talk to God.
When someone is hopeful - they pray to God.
When someone is lonely or afraid - they talk to God.

It took me awhile to fully realize all of that, but the more I realized it, the faster the truth came to me. It all came down to this: God is simply an emotion one creates to deal with uncertainty. The human mind does not like leaving things at 'I don't know.' It's frustrating to try and come to terms that you literally do not know something. You can't guess, can't lean more to one side than the other - you just straight up do not know. And how do you deal with that? You put God in it's place. Instead of not knowing you just say God is responsible.

It's just a constant trend.

For serious things such as death it puts one at ease to actually trick themselves to thinking they DO know and it, of course, has to deal with God. It's much easier to say 'I will go to heaven when I die and meet God' than it is 'I have no idea what is going to happen when I die.'

For less serious things, such as being alone/going through hard times/etc, it's comforting to think there is something out there listening, so it again all deals with God. It is much easier to pray and talk to God with this notion that he is listening, than it is to sit in a room and admit to yourself that you have no one else to talk to.

Again, it's just such a trend. So many people and celebrities go to rehab or jail and come out with some huge religious experience, and it's like why? It's because they were alone, afraid, and in a bad position. It's much easier to believe God is there and will help you instead of facing the fact that you are a heroin junkie with no one to talk to in your room at a rehab clinic.

All that's left for my thoughts are to simply sum them up to such a simple and short message: God is an emotion. From this I can say: Man created God - not the other way around.

This is just how I think and view religion. All the smartass/sarcastic comments are just put there to keep things spicy. It's cool to have something - if it's God then good for you. But placing a truth stamp on the bible to me is just ridiculous. I don't like to hide my emotions when it comes to this so if I've offended some people with some of my posts' then all I can say is; grow the fuck up.

Sure, when people talk to God it makes them feel better. Most people don't take the time to listen. God will give you direction if that is what you are looking for. I was not the first to bring Spiritualism into it. I was simply telling you my experience. It hard to explain so much in just a short time. The Bible is not just a story. If you actually read it and study it you will realize that it is still relevant today. It is a guide for how we should live and how we should treat others. It is a guide for how we should live our lives.

All I can tell you is there is no way to express what I have witnessed. You would just have to experience yourselves. You all say that none of it is real. How do you explain one of my best friends being healed of HIV? How do you explain a baby being brought back to life after an hour of it being dead? Man can not explain it, it is all God's power. He can do anything if you have faith for it. These things happen everyday. I just want everyone to experience it for themselves.

I don't deny that dinosaurs existed. It actually mentions existence of animals that fit the description of dinosaurs in the Bible. I happen to believe that Dinosaurs did exist. They were around with man. I assume they all died when God sent the flood. It would have been rather difficult to fit them all on the Ark, don't you all agree?

The way I see it, if dinosaurs existed soooo long ago, wouldn't their bones be buried deeper then we are finding them? Wouldn't they be like in the inner crust? Seems to me that they existed about the time of the creation, about 4000-6000 years ago. It only makes LOGICAL sense. The word Dinosaur was not invented until the 1800s. So it obviously would not be in the Bible. The Bible does use words such at tanniyn, which I believe is Greek for dragon, behemothas you probably know means a very large repilian animal and the word Leviathan. These word are actually in the Word of God. Crazy to think that man and "dinosaurs" lived at the same time isn't it?

Fact of the matter is, you can not disprove the existance of God. I have personally experienced Him in my life. Whether you believe it or not is your decision. I just pray that you would research a little bit more before you make that decision. Good and evil are basically the same for people with a conscience. You would agree that killing is bad? Whether is it your enemy or someone you don't even know. It says in the Bible you pray for your enemies. Not to "cleave their head off." The fact of the matter is, if we would pray more we wouldn't be in situations where we would have to cleave someone's head off.

Another thing is there is some fuck head in hell just scheming away all day. The devil wants everyone to suffer and have a terrible life. Then He wants you to not believe that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for your sins so Satan can torment you for eternity. He is the prince of darkness. No good comes from him.
