we've been just about every where but looking for something different... some of the places on my list to go semi-local are:

    a) back to Savannaha (we love it there)
    b) Grove Park Inn (commericals make it look pretty cool place to go)

Cumberland Island is awesome, you just have to make reservations to go there now and it is about $100/person to get on the Island now.

Charleston is an awesome, beautiful and rich woth history city to go. I go twice a year. Later, QD.

Same here. We have a house on St. Simons Island. It is really quiet and secluded. Deosn't get packed out, either. Later, QD.

We have never been. Is it something that can be done in a day?

    Thumbs up

The Biltmore is awesome. If you go make sure you pay extra for the extended tour its worth it. The last time I went they took us on the roof and you could see all over the grounds. Ohh yeah Asheville is a beautiful city.
