What a coincidence. I actually have a few questions of my own. I'm looking into getting into paintball as something to do on the weekends.

I'm looking at weapons and the ones that look like the real thing appeal to me. I was wondering if they tend to be shit.

2nd in addition to a primary weapon I was looking into getting a pistol. Are the ebay ones generally garbage? Cause I don't feel like paying $300 for a RAM4 Sig Sauer P226 replica.

Red go check out the US Army Paintball Gun. Looks like the real M4 and I hear it's not bad for a beginner like us.

markers that look like real markers are only extra weight that serve no real purpose

    tippmans are hella reliable though,

for more performance and bag for buck, the ion is a good choice, but be careful though, once you step into the paintball world of speedball expect to dropping some money into shooting paint, especially in overly priced places like paintball atlanta,

Try to find a used proto rail, its a really good gun for the money. I wish I still had a NYX matrix from 2004. Speedball, I always used less paint than in the woods, I really dont like playing woodsball. I would buy a case of paint and it would last 2 trips to the field.

Dont go cheap on a mask, you will REALLY regret it if you do.

$300!? Damn, thats a hell of a deal! They retail over $800.

I got out of paintball not to long ago. I played semi-pro for about 2yrs! I played with a Dye DM9 but I played many games with a cheap old Piranha GTI Rampage until I got the money for the Dye. But GTI wasn't that bad of a gun. But I'd probably recommend a Proto 09 SLG Ultralight for a beginner.
