Isnt that almost the same thing as Skype or voice-over IP? The commercials seemed marketed to old people who dont know what computers and the internet are capable of.

Clark howard swears by the thing!! He says it works like a dream.

Yes there will be times when your internet is inter feared with and the signal will drop a bit and from what Clark says it sounds like your in a big pipe and you can hear your self . But from what he said its very minimal. I would do it but im not home enough to even have a home phone so.

hmmmm, I'm considering ordering one of these....

I currently use Vonage @ $21/month after taxes and crap and being that I rarely use the home phone this may save me a few more pennies a year.

Only pitfalls I've read so far are that it piggy backs on your pc and uploads info from the numbers you dial to create popup ads. Hell, nearly every website you log on to does that already. That may also create additional leaks for SPAM to all of the people you dial once they sell records.

Think I'll give it a few more months and check more consumer feedback to see how things play out.

I've had a lot of trouble with it. Im running it on a computer that needs to be cleaned up though. I suspect that on a healthy computer it would work great. When i get this computer right ill let you know if that was the problem.
