I do not ask for much in my own life and am quite blessed with what I receive; however, this is not about me.
My good friend Dwayne has a son, Dalton, with epilepsy. Dalton has been seeing specialists in order to attempt to get his seizures under control for many years now with minimal success. I have watched as the epilepsy has not only taken a toll on Dalton, but also on Dwayne and his family. Over the past year, Dwayne and his wife Tammy have taken Dalton out to Augusta to meet with some of the most advanced and respected doctors in the field several times. Each time with great hopes and only minute results. Well, this Wednesday Dalton will go out to Augusta once again. But unlike the other times where they have ran tests, adjusted his diet, given him new medications, or other simple procedures; this time they will be performing advanced brain surgery. I am ignorant to what the procedure is called, but I do know that they will be going in and physically separating the two hemispheres of young Dalton's brain. This will be done in hopes that when Dalton has a seizure in his brain, that it will not transfer to the other side where it is processed and sends out signals to the body causing the body to seizure.
I have said all of that to say this: If you are Christian, please say a prayer for Dalton, the doctors, and Dwayne and his wife.
Thanks and God Bless
