I just avoid the problem in the first place - I won't get too far into a relationship unless I know how the girl thinks and feels about religion. I'm an atheist, and I won't get too serious with a girl that tries to force religion on me. But if a girl is willing to put up with me and not drag me to church or anything, then I don't care what she believes. I think the big issue for me would be raising a kid and what to do with teaching them beliefs or not. I would probably let the mother pick in that case.
